Study On Suzhou Gardens And Literati's Poetic Life In Ming And Qing Dynasties

With the improvement of social economy,people's life begins to transform from the pursuit of material products to the satisfaction of spiritual needs.In order to adapt to this trend,some people put forward the concept of "poetic habitation",that is,to make culture and beautiful scenery into people's daily living environment.But in fact,although some living space carries people's life and solves the needs of survival,it is difficult to bring them spiritual pleasure.In fact,as early as ancient China,there were a lot of such practices in the garden life of literati.In addition to pursuing mountains and rivers,they also created a poetic place of life.Ming and Qing dynasties are the most prosperous stage of the development of ancient gardens in China,which reached an unprecedented height in the number of gardens and the art of landscaping.Suzhou,as a relatively complete area of garden preservation in Ming and Qing dynasties,all the gardens retained so far are the unity of gardens and houses,which can be used as a whole for people to live in poetically.Therefore,this paper draws lessons from the wisdom of the ancients in Suzhou Gardens in Ming and Qing dynasties,and takes the garden and literati as a whole,takes the literati's garden life as the research object,analyzes their life attitude and ideal with the help of historical literature,and investigates the existing Suzhou classical gardens and combs the garden houses in the Ming and Qing dynasties.It is possible to provide the basis for the construction of "poetic habitation" in the construction of human settlement environment by discussing how to use landscape and flowers and trees to express the ideal of literati in the construction of human settlements.This paper will use six chapters to analyze the above problems.In the first chapter,the introduction puts forward to discuss the poetic meaning contained in the garden environment with the pursuit of literati's life,combined with the collation and analysis of Suzhou garden research literature and research results in Ming and Qing dynasties,defines and explains the research scope and object of this paper,and shows the research background and significance.The second chapter introduces the background of Ming and Qing dynasties,discusses the mentality and pursuit of Suzhou literati in Ming and Qing dynasties,and the cultural implication of Suzhou gardens,so as to accurately grasp the close relationship between gardens and literati,and lay the foundation for a more accurate study of literati's poetic garden life.The third chapter excavates the life of literati living in the garden.The cause of formation,emotional appeal and poetic tendency,understand the relationship between garden and literati poetic life,and according to the literati's poetic pursuit of garden,explore the environmental characteristics and style tone attached to their garden activities.The fourth chapter,on the basis of deeply exploring the relationship between landscape and poetic life of literati,investigates many existing Suzhou gardens in Ming and Qing dynasties.According to the needs and ways of poetic life of literati,from macro to micro,it discusses the material conditions that should have in order to meet the interests of literati,the environmental basis of garden life,and the composition and layout of landscape space.At the same time,the poetic characteristics of these garden spaces are analyzed.Chapter 5 On the basis of the space environment of the literati's poetic garden,the author summarizes the construction principles and methods of the poetic garden life,and it is applied to the construction of the modern poetic dwelling place.The sixth chapter puts forward the innovation and deficiency of the paper and the prospect of the research in the future.Although the social changes make the ancient way of life can no longer adapt to today,the ancient gardens can not be completely copied to today's living environment,but based on the in-depth study of the poetic garden life of Suzhou literati in Ming and Qing dynasties,it not only has a deeper understanding of the relationship between the garden and the deep structure of the literati,but also has a further summary and deepening of the landscape style and construction techniques of the poetic garden space of the literati.It is also of great significance to understand and feel the poetic pursuit of garden space embodied by the poetic garden life of Suzhou literati in Ming and Qing dynasties,as far as the construction of contemporary poetic living environment is concerned.
