Ecology Intervene In Space

Since the 21 st century,the discipline of landscape architecture has developed rapidly,it is entrusted with the mission of improving the ecological environment and coordinating the relationship between man and nature.Landscape ecological planning and design,as an important research direction of landscape architecture,has many research and practice methods and schools.It is difficult to clearly grasp the relationship between ecology and spatial planning,resulting in the chaos of landscape ecological planning and design system.As a result,ecological theory cannot be effectively applied in the field of landscape planning and design.Point at above problems,this paper attempts to answer in what approach could help ecology theory intervene in landscape planning and design(What)? How to use these approaches? The practical significance of the research is to provide a variety of alternative methods and approaches for the practice of landscape ecological planning and design.The theoretical significance is to provide a broader perspective for cognizing the relationship between ecology and landscape planning and design.The main content of this paper is divided into three parts.Firstly,the theoretical basis of ecology intervene in space(applying ecology theory in landscape planning and design)are introduced,including different combing ways of ecology intervene in space(horizontal comparison)and the internal development and change of ecology intervene in space(vertical development),according to the literature review and theoretical basis,three approaches of ecology intervene in space are proposed,namely model method,process method and pattern language method.Secondly,the definition,theoretical basis,development evolution,operation steps,project application and sub-methods of three approaches are introduced.Finally,on the basis of comparing three approaches,the selection and comprehensive use of three approaches are summarized.Three approaches of ecological intervene in space include:(1)Model method,which is an approach to apply the research results of ecological model to landscape planning and design,including three typical sub-methods: landscape suitability evaluation model,applied ecosystem ecology model,applied landscape ecology model.(2)Process method,which is an approach to combine ecological knowledge or methods in landscape planning and design,including three typical sub-methods: humanistic ecosystem design process,geo-design process and comprehensive ecological planning process.(3)Pattern language method,which is an approach to summarize pattern language and apply it to landscape planning and design field,including archetype extraction method,principle derivation method and comprehensive method.
