Given the fact that the growing number of globally aged and disabled people makes new demands for urban design,equalized product fails to satisfy the tendencies to multifarious service and product from different groups of people.As the provider of environmental service,urban public spaces are supposed to be convenient and comfortable.Places with inclusive features are not limited to creating physical space,but also give thorough consideration on real-time information,clear sign,good lighting,and accessible website.These improvements are supportive by inclusive design concept which offers choice to people with different age,need and physical situation.In order to increase comfort and accessibility on public space,research——take Kunming as on-site research object——is carried out on domestic construction on inclusive environment.Specific places include pedestrian on main road,commercial walking street,government service center and public service agency.In the meantime,online questionnaire is conducted to summarize the difficulties disabled people confront when using outdoor accessibility facilities.Results are used to analyze the reasons leading to uninclusive environment.The main conclusions are as follows:(1)Public prejudice against disabled people is affected by negative figures conveyed by literature and media.(2)Deficient Legal guarantee system and supervision system are the main causes of incomplete barrier-free environment nationwide.(3)Inclusive design is beneficial to elderly people,children,disabled people as well as the public.
