The present research investigates the key green planning features to develop a green plan of sustainable housing development at Karachi in highlights of public views.To examine this issue,a questionnaire survey was conducted at Karachi,Pakistan to assess public views complicit to their age,gender,education,occupation and experience on green planning features that identified from reviewing enormous literatures,research reports and analyzing local ecological conditions.After conducting face to face interviews with 510 public respondents results indicated that the green features related to health and comfort of well-being inside the building,renewable resources to generate clean energy and sustainable power supply,minimize energy consumption,cost of construction and maintenance,minimize water consumption,solid waste management,biodiversity protection,open green spaces,land use efficiency and amenities were of great importance in public consideration for developing a green plan of sustainable housing project at Karachi.
