In order to solve the diversified functional needs of street space and the need for refined utilization of stock facilities,combined with domestic and foreign experience,it is proposed to apply the concept of complete street design to do the urban transportation planning and design.The specific research contents and ideas are as follows:1.Research on complete street conceptFirstly,on the basis of general analysis of the concept of complete street,through the collection of domestic and foreign research literature and results,the connotation and concept of complete street design are determined.Through the interpretation of connotation,the goal of complete street design is determined,and the framework of design is proposed.,extract the design core of the complete street.2.Analysis of traffic demandThrough the analysis of pedestrian behavior characteristics and walking characteristics,the relationship between urban street space environment and pedestrian activities is discussed.The city's traffic demand is classified and studied,and the differences and connections between different needs are identified.Determining the different requirements of different travel demands on the traffic space and function of streets is the theoretical basis for the optimization design of complete streets.3.Complete street optimization designThrough the demand analysis and target determination,the principles and strategies of the complete street optimization design are clarified.After analyzing the current situation of the city,the crux of the urban traffic problem is obtained,the future development direction is determined,and the specific method of optimizing the design is proposed,including the design of the urban street section.Five aspects of the design of public transportation,slow traffic design,parking facility design and street space function design,and quantitative analysis of the width of the roadway and the turning radius of the curb.4.Economic and social benefits of the research resultsAccording to the basic principles and methods of complete street design,this paper puts forward the development direction and specific methods of street design in Taiyuan to provide a convenient and comfortable environment for travelers.On the one hand,we can establish the concept of giving priority to the development of green transportation,optimize the traffic structure,and further promote the strategy of giving priority to public transportation,so as to make the concept of sustainable development deeply rooted in the hearts of the people.On the other hand,it can solve the contradiction between urban traffic facilities and growing traffic demand,reduce the constraint of space resources and environment on traffic travel,reduce costs,improve travel efficiency and travel quality,build a safe,efficient,green and convenient transportation system,and realize the green development of transportation.
