Design And Research Of Slow Traffic System In Wuxi City

Economic boom has promoted the expansion of city,city land functional division of the central region of more and more meticulous,road space tends to drive the car for the design of the scale,the walking space is being invaded,city of the user’s activity space more narrow,opens the "fast forward" model city life,people are forced to more quickly into the destination,the city streets has become the "conveyor belt" connect to multiple destinations.Urban streets used to be the outdoor activity space with the widest coverage in the urban center.Now,under the influence of various factors,the diversity of street activities is gradually weakened,and the street life in the city is gradually disappearing.This paper will start from the theory of pedestrian city,street sharing and so on to study the design of urban slow moving system.From the perspectives of social space,outdoor activities and context continuation,relevant research,analysis and design will be carried out in combination with the theory of slow walking system.First papers from the street pedestrian friendliness,sexual life,slow transportation concept definition and summarized at home and abroad were reviewed,explore the design direction of urban slow system,and combined with field investigation analysis of the current problems existing in the streets of the city center,analyzed the urban slow system and design elements,discusses the design principle can be widely used.Finally,taking wuxi city center as an example,the design strategy of urban slow moving system is put forward.This design aims to by means of landscape construction with human scale of urban slow system,create rich visual attraction,activate the street space,meet the demand of central city residents outdoor activities,let all sorts of function of public space,urban culture into People’s Daily,makes city road more convenient social space,outdoor activity space and urban cultural experience space.
