The road traffic environment is an important part of the human-vehicle-road system and dynamic traffic environment is an important component of the road traffic environment.Because dynamic traffic environment is highly uncertain and contains a lot of traffic information,it has a great impact on the driver's attention state and workload.The evaluation of the complexity of road dynamic traffic environment lays a theoretical foundation for the study of the timing of the control right switch between human and computer and the driving behavior in the environment of the Internet of vehicles.Therefore,this study carried out research on the complexity of the road dynamic traffic environment.The road dynamic traffic environment has the characteristics of complex system.This study analyzes the raod dynamic traffic environment from the perspective of complexity theory,characterizes the complexity of the road dynamic traffic environment with the complexity,gives the definition of the complexity of the road dynamic traffic environment,extracts the impact factors of the complexity,including the parameters of relative speed,distance and quantity,This study expounds the influence factors that impact complexity of the road dynamic traffic environment according to the different driving behaviors,and determines the weight coefficients of different influence factors.According to the relative speed,distance and the influence distance of the influencing factors,the assumptions of the quantitative model of the complexity of road dynamic traffic environment are determined.Considering the velocity factor into the artificial potential field method,a velocity repulsion field is constructed.Repulsion field is characterized by the sum of distance repulsion field and velocity repulsion.The repulsion field strength at the driving vehicle position represents the approach degree between the driving vehicle and the influencing factors in the space,and the weighted sum of the approach degree between the driving vehicle and the influencing factors in the space is used to represent the complexity of the dynamic traffic environment of the road.The meaning and calculation method of each parameter in the quantitative model are described,Thus,a quantitative model of road dynamic traffic environment complexity based on artificial potential field method is established.In order to verify the effectiveness of the complexity quantification model,a driving simulator test including four driving tasks was carried out,and the subjective workload,subjective complexity,sub-task response time,vehicle position,driving speed and other data were collected.The relationship between the complexity of road dynamic traffic environment and the subjective workload,the subjective complexity and the response time of the sub-task of the subjects is explored.The results show that the Spearman correlation coefficients between the complexity of road dynamic traffic environment and the subjective workload,the subjective complexity are 0.926 and 0.871 respectively,and the significance level is less than 0.01.There is a significant correlation between the complexity of road dynamic traffic environment and the subjective workload and the subjective complexity;there is a strong mathematical relationship between the complexity of road dynamic traffic environment and the response time of the sub-task.With the increase of the complexity of road dynamic traffic environment,the average value and fluctuation range of the response time of the sub-task of the subjects in the complexity range become larger.
