A Study On The Dynamic Mechanism Of The Growth Of China's Marine Transportation Industry

The marine transportation industry is a basic strategic service industry and an important part of China's economy,but the current market environment is tough,competition is fierce and growth is slow.Therefore,it is necessary to study the growth driving mechanism and identify the main drivers to provide a scientific basis for the development of marine transportation industry policies.Due to local advantages,developed coastal areas are the key to develop the marine transportation industry,however the growth of the maritime industry varies significantly from place to place,which mechanism should also be part of the research.The existing research rarely mentions the mechanism of the hidden dynamic factors behind the growth of marine transportation industry.And the selection of subjects and perspectives is also more homogeneous and lacks a holistic approach.Based on Porter's Diamond Model and System Theory,combined qualitative and quantitative analysis methods,several indicators are selected from Production Factors,Demand Conditions and Development Environment to build the growth dynamic model of marine transportation industry,and conducts time series and spatial differences analysis at the national and regional levels.The results show that,the growth of marine transportation industry is dominated by market demand and the economic environment,showing an oversupply situation at the national level,and this oversupply mainly exists in the southeast coastal regions such as Guangdong and Fujian,while Tianjin,Hebei and Shandong are relatively balanced,and other areas such as Shanghai and Jiangsu are not obvious supply drivers.Spatial exploratory analysis finds a significant positive spatial correlation in the growth of marine transportation industry across the coast.Finally,in order to promote the sustainable and healthy development of the marine transportation industry in the new situation,this paper proposes that the marine transportation industry of China should focus on integrating the industrial value chain,strengthening the regional coordination,shutting down outdated production facilities,upgrading and optimizing effective supply,and expanding the market demand.
