In order to lay theoretical basis for screening out ecological and decorative cactaceous indoor plant which can produce high concentration of NAI,14 different cactaceous(including the taxa below species level and cultivated varieties)were selected to explore the relationship between the NAI levels and the number of spines.NAI levels produced by 14 different cactaceous(including the taxa below species level and cultivated varieties)were determined and compared in the fabricated organic glass enclosure(800mmx 800mmx800mm)in natural state, and the relationship between the NAI levels produced by those cactaceous and the number of spines was studied through removing spines stepwisely. In this work we found that there are significant positive correlations between the NAI levels produced by those cactaceous and number of spines during the removing spines stepwisely.NAI levels produced by 12 different cactaceous(including the taxa below species level)were determined and compared in the fabricated organic glass enclosure(800mmx 800mmx800mm)under 8 kilovolt electric pulse stimulation, and the relationship between the NAI levels produced by those cactaceous and the number of spines was studied through removing spines stepwisely. In this work we found that there are significant positive correlations between the NAI levels produced by those cactaceous and number of spines during the removing spines stepwisely. In addition, the partial correlation of NAI released by 14 different cactaceous which has all thorns during test group or control group under natural state and 8 kilovolt electric pulse stimulation has beng done, the result showed that the plant species examined were able to generate NAI under natural state, but the NAI levels was low and varied considerably between examined plants. The NAI levels produced by examined plants were correlated with that of background in the air.On the other hand, the plant species examined were able to generate NAI under 8 kilovolt electric pulse stimulation, and the NAI levels was high and varied considerably between examined plants plants. The paper also studied NAI levels produced by Cotyledon orbiculata var.oblonga and Nntncactus leninghausii were determined and compared in the fabricated organic glass enclosure(800mm× 800mm×800mm)under 8 kilovolt electric pulse stimulation, and the relationship between the NAI levels produced by those cactaceous and the changes in stomatal characteristics was studied through removing spines stepwisely. In this work we found that the Nntncactus leninghausii does not change regularly their quantitative characteristics of leaf stomatal with gradual spines decrease upon the electric pulse stimulation. The relationship between NAI levels, thorns and stomatal characteristics for Cotyledon orbiculata var.oblonga can be expressed by formulation Y=-705.005+780X1+67.386X2(Y is the NAI,X1 is areoles,X2 is spiracle length through removing spines stepwisely upon the electric pulse stimulation.then, the Nntncactus leninghausii is Y=-11.53+0.092X1,(Y is the NAI,X1 is thorns)...
