In this study,13 common Orchidaceae species(including varieties)was selected to determine and compared from each other about their NAI concentration in the absence of stimulation(natural situation)and upon different electric stimulation through the soil.1.NAI concentration of 13 species of Orchidaceae species(including varieties)in the absence of stimulation(natural situation)and stimulated by 8kV high-voltage pulse through the soil.NAI concentrations of 13 species of Orchidaceae species(including varieties)were determined in sealed glass chamber with the dimensions 80×80×80cm3 for continuous 30 mins in the absence of stimulation(natural situation)and stimulated by 8kV high-voltage pulse through the soil.The NAI concentration of Orchidaceae species in natural conditions was very low.The mean value is 1687.51 ion/cm3,the highest,for Cymbidium.ensifolium ’Long Yan Su’,and 156.19ion/cm3,the lowest,for Cymbidium.ensifolium ’Xiao Tao Hong’.However,The NAI concentration of Orchidaceae species increased considerably when 15 kV high-voltage pulse was imposed on the 13 species studied through soil by high-voltage pulse generator.The NAI concentration in Cymbidium pumilum attained to 3218751.00ion/cm3 on electrostimulation,the highest,for Cymbidium.Pumilum,and 539.94 ion/cm3,the lowest,for Cymbidium.ensifolium ’Da Qing’.Comparisons were tested by One-Way ANOVA analysis and LSD test between groups(NAI concentration without pot plants,with plants in the absence of stimulation(natural situation)and with plants stimulated by 8kV high-voltage pulse through the soil.).NAI concentration without pot plants(No treament control group)is significantly lower than that with plants in the absence of stimulation.NAI concentration stimulated by 8kV high-voltage pulse through the soil is significantly higher than that in no treament control group and natural situation.2.Orthogonal design to optimize the parameters of electrostimulation to generate highest NAI concentration.Three factors,namely pulse voltage,frequence and pulse width,were selected for orthogonal design to optimize the parameters of electrostimulation to generate highest NAI concentration.The optimal parameters of electrostimulation for 13 species(cultivars)of Orchidaceae pot plants are as follows:Cymbidium.ensifolium ’Long Yan Su’ are Um=16kV,T=1.0s andτ=50ms,which generated highest NAI concentration after optimization and attained to 5872199 ion/cm3.Cymbidium.ensifolium ’Cai Hong ’ are Um=13kV,T=0.5s andτ=80ms,which generated highest NAI concentration after optimization and attained to 4632151.67 ion/cm3.Cymbidium.ensifolium ’Jiao He’ are Um=16kV,T=0.5s andτ=80ms,which generated highest NAI concentration after optimization and attained to 8872530.67ion/cm3.Cymbidium.ensifolium ’Jin Si Ma Wei’ are Um=16kV,T=0.5s andτ=80ms,which generated highest NAI concentration after optimization and attained to 2614184.83 ion/cm3.Cymbidium.ensifolium ’Qi Jian Hei Mo’ are Um=16kV,T=0.5s andτ=80ms,which generated highest NAI concentration after optimization and attained to 2698493.22 ion/cm3.Cymbidium.ensifolium ’Xiao Tao Hong’ are Um=16kV,T=0.5s andr=80ms,which generated highest NAI concentration after optimization and attained to 5840352 ion/cm3.Cymbidium.pumilum are Um=13kV,T=0.5s and τ =80ms,which generated highest NAI concentration after optimization and attained to 8443980.44 ion/cm3.Cymbidium.ensifolium ’Qi Jian He Hua Su’ are Um=16kV,T=0.5s and τ=80ms,which generated highest NAI concentration after optimization and attained to 2421164.78 ion/cm3.3.Fatigue experiment for Cymbidium.punilum and Cymbidium.ensifolium ’Jiao He’ after continuous 12-day stimulated by the optimal parameters of electrostimulation.Fatigue experiment for Cymbidium.pumilum and Cymbidium.ensifolium ’Jiao He’ after continuous 12-day stimulated by the optimal parameters of electrostimulation was conducted.Fluctuation wave figures of mean NAI concentration of each day indiated that highest mean NAI concentration and lowest NAI concentration occurred in different time period for each species.Comparisons were tested by One-Way ANOVA analysis and LSD test between every day.mean NAI concentration in every day is significantly different from each other.Cymbidium pumilum attained to highest NAI concentration on fourth day,which is 9332189 ion/cm3,while lowest NAI concentration at eighth day,which is 6568963 ion/cm3,29.6%decrease as compared with highest NAI concentration on fourth day.Cymbidium.ensifolium ’Jiao He’ attained to highest NAI concentration on second day,which is 8648862 ion/cm3,while lowest NAI concentration at seventh day,which is 6305915 ion/cm3,27.1%decrease as compared with highest NAI concentration on second day.The results suggested that Cymbidium.pumilum and Cymbidium.ensifolium ’Jiao He’ generate high level of NAI concentration continuously for 12 days without plant individual damage.
