Study On Current Status,Problems And Countermeasures Of Pesticide Application In Anhui Province

Pesticides are indispensable production materials in agricultural production and are one of the important means for pest control.With the economic development in the world and the growing population nowadays,the effective supply of agricultural products has become increasingly prominent.The use of pesticides not only plays an important role in safeguarding the quantity and quality of agricultural products,but also plays a crucial role in the storage of agricultural products,the safety of people and livestock,and stable and sustainable development in modern agriculture.However,pesticides are also a double-edged sword.If they are not used scientifically and rationally,they will cause greater harm to the natural environment,human health,and ecological balance.As a large agricultural province,Anhui,due to the particularity of geography and climate,and the adjustment of planting structure and the high multiple cropping index of crop species in recent years,has led to an increase in the intensity and prevention difficulty of pests and diseases.At the same time,Anhui is a major province for the production,use,and export of pesticides,and its production volume and usage ranks among the top in the country all year round.Therefore,it is necessary to research and analyze the current situation of pesticide use in Anhui Province and explore the prevention and control of pesticide risk.This paper adopts literature analysis and experience-based research methods to analyze and study the current status of pesticide use in Anhui Province and the risks involved in its use.The study found that the use of pesticides in Anhui Province has generally stabilized,and the use of pesticides has been growing negatively for three consecutive years since 2015.The coverage of pest control with environmental protection and unified control has continued to increase,and the utilization rate of pesticides has steadily increased.However,there are still security risks associated with the use of pesticides: First,blind pesticides use is widespread.Including the improper selection of medicines,the concept of high-efficiency pesticides and highly toxic pesticides,the excessive use of ratios,the unreasonable period and methods of drug use,and other issues that have arisen during the course of pesticides use;Second,the supervision of the pesticide market is difficult.For example,the province’s pesticide management companies produce more varieties of pesticides,the quality of employees is uneven,and illegal business practices continue to ban;Third,some pesticide applicators violated the use of prohibited pesticides and high-risk pesticides;Fourth,the problem of over-standard pesticide residues in agricultural products was prominent,which led to various safety and trade export issues.In response to the current use of pesticide safety risks,this article presents prevention and control measures for pesticide use risk issues from the following perspectives.Including improving the pesticide level of producers,strengthening the management of the pesticide market,strengthening the promotion and use of high-efficiency,low-toxicity pesticides and advanced equipment,and further advancing green prevention and control and promotion of unified defense rules.
