Studies On The Current Status And Countermeasures Of Pesticide Management In Zhejiang Province

China has become one of the largest pesticide producer and user. Since Reform and Opening, the pesticide industry has developed quickly, the speed of pesticide production increases more than 15% per year, and the total amount of production is No.1 in the world, the yearly control area of crop is beyond 333 million hectares, therefore, to enhance pesticide management plays an important role in ensuring steady and sustainable agriculture increase, protecting the profit of farmer, insuring the safety of agricultural product quality and eco-environment, and maintaining the healthy development of pesticide industry.On the basis of briefly introducing about the legal construction of pesticide regulation home and abroad, the process is expatiated on standardization, legalization, infomationization of pesticide management of our country, and the achievement is demonstrated, such as pesticide product structure further optimized, market order, safety of agricultural product quality, and competitive power of pesticide industrial further improved, international pesticide management communication and cooperation steadily increased.According to the investigation on the resent ten years'current situation of pesticide production and management in Zhejiang Province, the results showed that the pesticide production structure has become more and more rational, production quality is steadily improved, the ability of enterprise's research and development is continuously improved during the process of enterprise development and expanding, and the work of pesticide management has been done orderly. However, there were still many problems such as fewer-product-variety in one enterprise, older-formulation and excessive-export-depend appeared. There are many departments take part in pesticide administration, but few of them are willing to undertake responsibility when problems occurred. Pesticide selling qualification is much too low, which will result in out-of-order of challenge of pesticide market and affect the safety of agricultural product quality and eco-environment. According to these problems, we put forward some countermeasures such as controlling strictly the quality of pesticide technical and formulation, researching and developing new formulation, enhancing pesticide selling qualification to insure the safety of agricultural product quality, perfecting pesticide management system in order to upgrade the level of pesticide management of Zhejiang Province.
