Aiming at the problems of high irrigation quota,low water use efficiency and the shortage of water resources of Lycium barbarum in the arid region of central Ningxia,the suitable planting pattern of Lycium barbarum,irrigation schedule and water consumption law of Chinese wolfberry under mulching film drip irrigation conditon were studied systematically by taking two kinds of planting patterns of film mulching and non-mulching and single factor randomized block test method.It provides theoretical support for efficient irrigation of Lycium barbarum in arid zone of central Ningxia.The main results of this paper are as follows:(1)The change rule of growth traits of Lycium barbarum:When irrigation quota is 3840m3/hm2,the ground diameter,the crown width from north to south,the number of branches and the length of branch of the film-mulched Lycium barbarum all reached the maximum,meanwhile the ground diameter,the east-west crown width,the number of branches and the length of branch also reached the maximum.The average value of the ground diameter,the east-west crown width,the north-south crown width and the number of branches of film-mulched Lycium barbarum were higher than those of non-mulch Lycium barbarum;The average value of the length of branches was slightly smaller than that of non-mulch Lycium barbarum,but they were basically equal.(2)The change rule of photosynthetic Index of Lycium barbarum:The change rule of the daily transpiration rate and the daily stomatal conductance of Lycium barbarum which was presented as bimodal shape was the same as the daily photosynthetic rate.The change rule of Intercellular CO2 concentration was opposite to that of the daily photosynthetic rate;When the irrigation quota was 3840m3/hm2,the chlorophyll content,the average daily transpiration rate,the average daily transpiration rate and the daily stomatal conductance of the mulched and non-mulch Lycium barbarum were all the highest,and the fomer was larger than that of the latter.With the extension of growth period,the average of photosynthetic rate,stomatal conductance and transpiration rate during the whole growth period all increased firstlyly and then decreased,and the average of the intercellular CO2 concentration during the whole growth period decreased firstlyly and then increased.When the irrigation quota was 3840m3/hm2,the photosynthetic rate,stomatal conductance and transpiration rate of film mulching and non-film mulching Lycium barbarum during the whole growth period were all the largest,and the fomer was larger than that of the latter.(3)The change rule of the quality characters of Lycium barbarum:With the harvest month changing,the total sugar content of the mulched Lycium barbarum increased firstly and then decreased and the total sugar content of the non-mulch Lycium barbarum gradually increased.With the harvest month changing,the betaine content of the film-mulched Lycium barbarum decreased firstlyly and then increased and the betaine content of the non-mulch Lycium barbarum decreased continuously.With the harvest month changing,the carotene content of the film-mulched and non-mulch Lycium barbarum all increased continuously.When the irrigation quota was 3840m3/hm2,the total sugar content and carotene content of the film-mulched and non-mulch Lycium barbarum were all the highest and the former was higher than that of the latter.Meanwhile,the content of betaine was also the highest and the former was higher than that of the latter too.(4)The change rule of water consumption and the ratio of stage water consumption to total water consumption.During the whole growth period,the average water consumption of non-mulch Lycium barbarum was higher than that of plastic film mulching Lycium barbarum.Expect deciduous stage,the non-mulch Lycium barbarum 's average water consumption of early spring growth stage,early blooming stage and fruit ripe stage was all higher than that of the film-mulched Lycium barbarum.With the extension of growing period,water consumption and the ratio of stage water consumption to total water consumption of plastic film mulching and non-mulch Lycium barbarum all reached the highest.(5)The change rule of Water use efficiency and yield:Except for F6,B6 and F7,B7 treatments,the water use efficiency of other treatment under drip irrigation Lycium barbanum under mulch condition was all higher than that of non-mulch Lycium barbarum;With the irrigation quota increasing,the fresh and dry fruit production of plastic film mulching and non-mulch wolfberry all firstly increased and then decreased.When the irrigation quota was 3840m3/hm2,the fresh and dry fruit production of Lycium barbarum under plastic film mulching and non-mulch conditions all reached the maximum value which was separately 10 400.7 kg/hm2,2629.9kg/hm2 and 9 923.40 kg/hm2,2380.1kg/hm2.The former was higher than the latter.The fresh and dry fruit production of F6 and F7 treatment was higher than that of B6 and B7 treatment.Too high irrigation quota is not conducive to the increase of yield.(6)The appropriate planting pattern and irrigation system for Lycium barbarum:Taking all these factors into consideration,the appropriate planting pattern for Lycium barbarum is "film-mulched culture".Under the experimental conditions,the suitable drip irrigation system for film mulching Lycium barbarum is that the times of irrigation were 8 times.The first and eighth irrigation quotas were all 300 m3/hm2.Other irrigation quotas were all 540 m3/hm2.
