Rapid Propagation And Introduction Cultivation Of Moringa Oleifera Lam

Moringa oleifera Lam.belongs to Moringaceae family which is a perennial woody plants with important economic value.This study first combines rapid propagation with introduction and cultivation of Moringa.It provides the scientific basic for planting and industrialization of Moringa in Hangzhou.The results showed as bellows:1.Tissue culture of M.stenopetala was studied through the cotyledon node proliferation from seeds as explants.The results showed that soaking the fresh shelled moringa seeds with 75%alcohol for 30s,then 0.1%HgCl₂ for 15min could achieve the best disinfection effect.The seed’s germination rate was 66.7%;Gibberellin could increase the germination time of seed early and made seeds sprout neatly,the best concentration of gibberellin was 2 mg·L^-1;Cotyledon node was the best part for induction.The appropriate proliferation medium was MS+0.5 mg·L^-11 6-BA+30 g·L^-1sucrose+6 g·L^-11 agar powder（pH5.8）,the multiplication rate could be up to 16;The best strengthing seedlings medium was MS+0.1 mg·L^-1 6-BA+30 g·L^-1 sucrose+6g·L^-1 agar powder（pH5.8）;The proper rooting medium was 1/2MS+1.5 mg·L^-1IBA+0.1 mg·L^-1PP₃₃₃+0.5 mg·L^-11 Activated carbon+20 g·L^-11 sucrose+5 g·L^-1agar powder（pH5.8）,with the rooting rate was 75%,the average rooting volume was up to6.8,and the average rooting length was 2.21cm.After transplanting the 3-old-day seedling to mixture substrates of 3perlite and Vermiculite,the highest survival rate was 72.7%.2.Through breeding seedlings experiment and transplanting experiment of M.stenopetala and M.oleifera,we got growth law of Moringa in Hangzhou and suitable conditions for cultivation.The results showed as bellows:the germination rule of Moringa seeds treated by gibberellin in substrate was similar with the medium;with soaking time increasing,the germination rate of Moringa seeds reducd,time of germination delayed,the best soaking time was 24h,the highest germination rate was83.3%.In Hangzhou,both M.stenopetala and M.oleifera could increase average seedling height,average branch number,average fresh weight of bud significantly and increased the survival rate of overwintering by planting in plastic tents.Especially M.oleifera was more sensitive to temperature,suitable temperature and light conditions could make it grow faster.But two kinds of moringa could not fully survive in winter in two kinds of cultivation conditions.
