Occurrence And Control Investigation Of Wheat Diseases And Pests In Jincheng Urban Area

Species and occurrence regularity of the main pests and diseases were investigated in the wheat producing areas of southeast Shanxi province.Continuous investigation was carried out from 2014 to 2016 in three representative investigation points which were selected in Jincheng urban area.Meanwhile,the occurrence data of diseases and pests over the years was combined.The investigation results are as follows:There are 15 species of pests,which belong to 2 classes and 7 orders,in the wheat fields from Jincheng urban areas.The damage of wheat pests can occur during the whole growth period of wheat.The key pests which can harm and restrict the wheat safe production are the underground pests in the seedling stage,the seedling aphid and wheat mite in the jointing-booting stage and the spike aphid in the heading and filling stage.There are 11 main wheat diseases in Jincheng urban area,including wheat sheath blight,wheat take-all,wheat leaf rust,wheat rosette stunt,wheat powdery mildew,wheat root rot,wheat stripe rust,common bunt of wheat,wheat yellow dwart,wheat loose smut and wheat scab.Among these,wheat powdery mildew,wheat stripe rust,common bunt of wheat,wheat take-all and so on can cause serious damage,and the wheat powdery mildew can cause the biggest damage.According to the above investigation,we put forward that seed germination stage after sowing,heading and filling stage are the critical periods for effective pests control.In addition,the effective prediction is also an important way to control diseases and pests.Above all,the prevention and control of diseases and pests should follow the concept that ecology and environment protection.In the early stage of wheat growing,reasonable management should be carried out,meanwhile,some technical means should be used to improve the yield of wheat.If necessary,appropriate amount of low-toxic pesticide can be used for control.
