Spent mushroom substrate,a typical agricultural waste,is a by-product of edible fungi industry.With the continuous development of edible fungi industry,more and more spent mushroom substrate will be produced.The traditional ways of spent mushroom substrate treatment are dumped packing and open burning.The dumped packing will take up a lot of land and waste resources,while open burning will cause environmental pollution.Recently,full use of spent mushroom substrate resources is an urgent problem need to be solved in circular agriculture economy.This study was conducted to use the waste material from Lentinus edodes as the raw material,set the Pleurotus ostreatus formulas by using different contents of spent mushroom substrate.The effects of different formulas on the growth and quality of Pleurotus ostreatus have been analyzed.Thus we can obtain the best Pleurotus ostreatus cultivation formula based on cyclic utilization of mushroom bran,which provided the technical support for the recycle of edible mushroom bran and the efficient production of Pleurotus ostreatus.The main results were described as follows:1.According to the gradient of 10%,the mushroom bran and cottonseed hull were mixed to test Pleurotus ostreatus.The formulas of first group(A?K):Lentinus edodes mushroom bran and cottonseed hulls as main raw material,compound fertilizer,gypsum and lime as auxiliary materials of mushroom cultivation formulas,with ingredients containing only cottonseed hulls formula as control.The first group recipes mycelium full bag period were 23 to 29 days.formulas of A,B,and C full bag period are 25 days;E formula is the shortest,just 23 days;J and K formulas were up to 29 days,other formulations were 24 days.The formulas of second group(L?U):Lentinus edodes mushroom bran and cottonseed hulls as main raw material,wheat bran,calcium magnesium phosphate and potassium sulfate as auxiliary materials of mushroom cultivation formulas,with ingredients containing only cottonseed hulls formula as control.Mycelium full bag period of the second group recipes were in 23?26 days;L,M,N full bag period of 25 to 26 days,the other in 23 to 24 days.The germination time of the first and second groups were in 2 days,and the maturation time of Pleurotus ostreatus was 3 days.2.In the first group of cultivated materials,the formula B-J containing with 10%-90%spent mushroom substrate,the protein content of Pleurotus ostreatus was higher than that of the control group(A).The formulas C?J containing with 30%?90%of spent mushroom substrate,the polysaccharide content of Pleurotus ostreatus was increased compared with the control group.The polysaccharide content of Pleurotus ostreatus was observably increased when the content of spent mushroom substrate was more than 50%.In the second group,the formulas P-S were added with 40%-70%of the mushroom bran,which could significantly increase the protein content of Pleurotus ostreatus.Compared with the control group,the content of polysaccharide in Pleurotus ostreatus was increased when 20%-40%of spent mushroom substrate were contented in formulas N-P.3.In the formulas A?K,the Pleurotus ostreatus all accord with high potassium and low sodium.But on the whole,the ratio of potassium and sodium for Pleurotus ostreatus was decreased compared more than 10%of spent mushroom substrate in formulas to control group.For phosphorus content,the amount of spent mushroom substrate added to the 10%-40%have no effect on Pleurotus ostreatus.The phosphorus content of Pleurotus ostreatus was increased when the bran was added 50%-90%.When the content of spent mushroom substrate was more than 20%,the calcium content was higher than the control group,and the calcium content of Pleurotus ostreatus was significantly increased at 40%-60%of spent mushroom substrate.Adding spent mushroom substrate in Pleurotus ostreatus cultivars can increase the contents of magnesium,iron,manganese and zinc in Pleurotus ostreatus.There was no significant effect on copper content of Pleurotus ostreatus by adding mushroom bran.In the formulas L-U,compared with control group,adding more than 10%of spent mushroom substrate increased the potassium and sodium for Pleurotus ostreatus.The addition of spent mushroom substrate could increase the content of phosphorus of Pleurotzs ostreatus,compared with the control group,the content of phosphorus increased visibly by 50%of spent mushroom substrate.Excepting the spent mushroom substrate content of 20%and 80%,the addition of mushroom bran had no effect on calcium content.The content of magnesium of Pleurotus ostreatus was clearly increased when the content of mushroom bran was 50%,and there was no significant effect between each two formulas.Addition of mushroom bran had no significant effect on the iron content of Pleurotus ostreatus.The content of manganese in Pleurotus ostreatus was increased by adding the mushroom bran,and which was clearly increased compared with the control group when the content of bran was 50%.The content of copper in Pleurotus ostreatus was clearly increased in 10%of the mushroom bran content,and the others were not significantly different from the control group.The addition of mushroom bran could significantly increase the zinc content of Pleurotus ostreatus,which increased most in 50%of mushroom bran.4.The Pleurotus ostreatus produced by each formula,were detected containing 17 amino acids including 7 kinds of essential amino acids(tryptophan unmeasured),amino acids species is complete.Formulas in the first group,no significant differences in total amino acids,The total amino acid in formula D(16.46%)and G(16.26%)was higher than that of control group A(16.05%),the others were lower than the control group.In the second group,the content of amino acids in Pleurotus ostreatus could be increased by adding the content of bran in 10%-70%,and the total amino acid contents of recipe L was 13.9%.The E/T values of the first and second group were about 40%,E/N reached more than 60%,which satisfied the standards proposed by FAO/WHO.5.Comprehensive evaluation of the indicators,the formula F(spent mushroom substrate content of 50%),the formula G(spent mushroom substrate content of 60%)and formula Q(50%of the spent mushroom substrate content)better than the control group.The formula F,G and Q can be used as the formula of Pleurotus ostreatus cultivated with letinous edodes bran.
