Research On Valuation Of Forest Ecosystem Services In Jingdong County Of Yunnan Province

Forest ecosystem services are the benefits which human beings obtain from the ecosystem and ecological processes,deeply affecting human well-beings.Evaluating the value of ecosystem services scientifically and objectively has great importance for the sustainable development of forests and human society.The study is based on the characteristics and connotation of forest ecosystem services,as well as considering the aspects of the forests resource,socioeconomic status and data availability of Jingdong County,to construct the assessment index system of forest ecosystem services in Jingdong County,Yunnan Province.To evaluate the forest ecosystem services in Jingdong County,biophysical method and value method were used,based on the forest management inventory data.The value of Nomascus concolor is calculated using the species conservation standard price method.The results showed that:(1)The total economic value(TEV)of forest ecosystem services in Jingdong County was 266.644 ×108 yuan·a-1,The value per unit area of forest ecosystem services in the whole county was 8.683×104 yuan·hm-2·a-1 which was higher than the average level of Yunnan Province and this indicated that the forest in the region had good ability to provide ecosystem services.(2)In terms of the value of different ecosystem services types,regulating services was 143.15 1× 108 yuan·a-1,supporting services was 117.883×108 yuan·a-1,provisioning services was 1.039×108 yuan·a-1 and cultural services was4.570×108 yuan·a-1.From the point of view of value types,the option value of forest ecosystem services was 1.078×108 yuan·a-1,and the direct use value was 5.609×108 yuan·a-1 and the indirect use value was 259.957x 108 yuan·a-1,which was 46.3 times of the direct use value.This indicated that forest ecosystems can not only bring direct economic benefits to human,but also have greater value in regulating human living environment.The value of soil conservation,water conservation and carbon sequestration and oxygen released was 116.805×108 yuan·a-l,66.099×108 yuan·a-1 and 65.257×108 yuan·a-1,respectively.The total value of these three ecosystem services accounted for 93.07%of TEV,which means these three services are the main ecosystem services in the Jingdong County.The value of other ecosystem services was ranking as follows:atmosphere environmental purification(11.795×108yuan·a-1),forest recreation(4.57×108 yuan·a-1),biodiversity Maintenance(1.078×108yuan·a-1)and product provision(1.039×1088yuan·a-1).(3)In terms of the total value of different forest types,Pinus kesiya had the largest value as 141.125×108 yuan·a-1,accounting for 52.9%of TEV.In terms of value per unit area of different forest types,Quercus had the largest value as 10.148x 104 yuan·a-1.(4)Nomascus concolor is a critically endangered species.The conservation standard price of one Nomascus concolor was 21.068x 104 yuan·a-1.
