Since the early 1990s,the global community has seen sustainable development as a vision of global, regional, national and local scope. In the field of forestry, the principle of sustainable forest development is a non-legally binding forestry agreement signed by many countries at the 1992 United Nations Conference on Environment and Development. There are many similarities between China and South Korea in terms of geographical location and climatic conditions. However, there are obvious differences in the topography, natural conditions, and forest cover of the two countries.Compared with China, the development of forestry in South Korea is faster, and the area of forest coverage in China is significantly higher than in China. After Korea's forestry has undergone several decades of development, domestic forests have basically formed a development model in which the ownership of state-owned forests,publicly-owned forests, and privately-owned forests coexist.Private forests have the largest area, followed by state-owned forests.Forests, the smallest of which are publicly owned forests. With the continuous increase of the forest area in South Korea, under the guidance of the Korean government, the Korean forestry department has also formulated many effective policies and systems for the development of forest economy and the establishment of sustainable forestry ecology, which will contribute to the sustainable development of Korean forestry.Development provides reliable policy support This thesis uses qualitative literature analysis, comparative analysis, and empirical analysis to study the forestry policies of China and Korea under different forestry policies. This paper mainly includes five parts:The first part is the general situation of Sino-Korea forest resources;the second part is The third part of the comparative study on Sino-Korea forestry policy is the comparison of forest policy between China and South Korea;the fourth part is the empirical analysis of the factors affecting the Korean forestry policy and forest resources;the fifth part is the sustainable development of forests under the Sino-Korea forest policy.Business Outlook Finally, the paper concludes that the sustainable development of forests in Korea needs to further improve the content and industrial chain of forest services;the sustainable development of forests in China should be based on natural forests and corresponding protective measures should be formulated, followed by the plan to return farmland to forests.Wind-sand control projects for the source of sandstorms;shelter forest projects for the Northeast,North China,Northwest China, and the Yangtze River basin;and wildlife conservation areas and natural reserves at all levels based on the actual conditions in each area and the ecological environment. Finally,in order to solve the problem of social development on the demand for timber,a fast-growing timber forest base was established.
