| Canine Otitis Media is an inflammatory disease that can lead to ear canal infection, and in severe cases it will affect the hearing of the Canine in question.Due to the different distribution of pathogenic bacteria in different areas, the clinical medication of canine otitis media is less targeted. Therefore, this experiment investigated the incidence of canine otitis media in shihezi area, collected the middle ear secretions of the sick dogs for pathogen isolation and identification, and conducted drug sensitivity test for each strain to determine the types and drug sensitivity of canine otitis media in shihezi area.At the same time, the typical clinical cases were treated, the treatment results were analyzed, and the treatment options were selected to provide a scientific basis for the treatment of canine otitis media in this region. Methods: This experiment investigated into 96 cases of diseased dogs admitted to four animal hospitals in Shihezi area. The author did an inquiry into the age, duration, breed, gender of the dogs and whether they were contracted single ear or both ears, and made an analysis of the recorded data. The author collected middle ear secretions of diseased dogs in a germ-free environment, separated and cultivated the bacteria from the secretions, conducted etiological, biochemical and PCR identification of the bacteria, and carried out sensitivity tests to pathogens using 14 kinds of commonly used clinical antimicrobial drugs. With reference to the types of pathogens and sensitivity test results, this experiment put forward tailored treatment programs to the typical clinical cases of canine otitis media and recorded treatment outcomes. Results: Canine otitis media in Shihezi area is related to the breed, age and time.Dogs of different ages and breeds can suffer from otitis media all year round, and the incidence of otitis media is higher in dogs under 3 years old and lower in dogs over 7 years old.The canine otitis media is more frequent from March to August, and less common from September to November and December to February. In terms of breed,long-haired dogs, planking dogs and dogs with narrow ear canal are more prone to otitis media than other breeds. The incidence of canine otitis media is often manifested as the simultaneous onset of both ears, but the occurrence of unilateral ear canal is rare.In addition, the occurrence of otitis media has nothing to do with gender.A total of 112 pathogens were isolated in the study.Among them,48 strains of staphylococcus aureus were isolated, accounting for 42.8% of the total isolates, followed by 32 strains of streptococcus pneumoniae(28.6%),18 strains of pseudomonas aeruginosa(16.1%),and 14 strains of escherichia coli(12.5%).Gram-positive pathogenic bacteria were mainly sensitive to antibiotics such as ampicillin levofloxacin gentamicin and fluorfenicol, while negative pathogenic bacteria were mainly sensitive to ceftazidine, cefotaxime, levofloxacin and gentamicin, and all the four strains were highly resistant to penicillin and erythromycin. In the treatment of ten clinical cases, two different treatment methods were adopted according to different causes.Four cases were diagnosed as mixed infection of canine ear mite and bacterial otitis media, and were treated with the first prescription using Frontline Insect Repellent Drops.Six cases were diagnosed as bacterial otitis media and treated with the second prescription using Florfenicol and Metronidazole Ear Drops.Nine of the total 10 cases recovered. Conclusion: Staphylococcus aureus is the dominant bacterium of canine otitis media in this area.According to the sensitivity test results, the advantage of the separation of bacteria for fluorobenzene nicol, clindamycin gentamicin drug sensitivity by the typical cases of treatment, such as using dog ears net fluorobenzene nicol, metronidazole ear drops drugs such as satisfactory curative effect, experimental results provide the basis for the clinical treatment of the disease... |
