Canine respiratory tract infection,as a common disease of dogs, has posed a great threat to the health of dogs. There are many causes of respiratory tract infection in dogs, among which bacterial infection is one of the main causes.Antibiotics are still the main drugs in clinical treatment of the disease, but the side effects of these drugs are relatively large and drug-resistant bacteria are easy to be produced, which makes the treatment face great challenges. Therefore,to investigate the incidence of respiratory infections in dogs in Shihezi City.to identify the main pathogenic bacteria and conduct drug sensitivity analysis.at the same time,Combined with the results of Chinese and Western medicine combined susceptibility test, the diagnosed diseased dogs were treated in groups in vivo.It provides drug reference for clinical treatment of canine respiratory tract bacterial infection in Shihezi City. Methods: 106 dogs with respiratory tract infection diagnosed by some pet hospitals in Shihezi City were selected as the research objects. The incidence of the disease was investigated.Through the methods of on-site investigation and consulting the medical records, all the information such as age, breed, onset time and type of the dogs were statistically analyzed. Then,a total of 86 secretions from the deep throat of the respiratory tract of the diseased dogs were collected aseptically to isolate, purify and identify the pathogenic bacteria, and conduct a pathogenicity test on the main pathogenic bacteria in mice.At the same time, the paper method was used to test the drug sensitivity of the main pathogens to guide clinical medication. Finally, according to the type of main pathogenic bacteria causing respiratory infections in dogs,a combination of Chinese and Western medicines for susceptibility testing was conducted.Ceftriaxone sodium for injection combined with Shuang Huang Lian injection was used to conduct in vivo group therapy on 10 dogs with respiratory bacterial infections. Results:The incidence of canine respiratory tract infection in Shihezi city is related to the size, age, season and type of the dog.Dogs of different ages, body types and disease types can occur all year round. In terms of age, incidence rate incidence of dogs below 1 years old or above 6 years old is higher, and incidence rate of dogs is 1-6 years old.In terms of body size: small dogs of the same age range are more likely to develop the disease than large dogs.In terms of seasons: Spring and autumn are periods of high incidence of respiratory infections in dogs, and the incidence is relatively low in winter. In the type of disease, the number of primary canine respiratory infections caused by pathogens is slightly higher than that of secondary. The results of bacterial isolation and identification showed that a total of 104 pathogenic bacteria were isolated from 8 species, including 43 strains of Staphylococcus aureus(32.69%),32 strains of E.coli(28.85%)and 16 strains of S.pneumoniae(15.38%).And all are pathogenic to mice.Other pathogens include: Enterobacter cloacae,Enterobacter agglomerans,Klebsiella pneumoniae,Staphylococcus chromogenes and Enterococcus faecalis. The test results of 17 sensitive antibiotics on clinically used antibiotics showed.E.coli is highly sensitive to ceftriaxone, cefotaxime and florfenicol.Staphylococcus aureus is highly sensitive to ceftriaxone, cefotaxime and levofloxacin.Streptococcus pneumoniae is highly sensitive to ceftriaxone, cefotaxime, and ampicillin. The three main pathogens all showed extremely high resistance to penicillin, erythromycin and tetracycline. The results of in vitro combined drug sensitivity test showed that the antibacterial index of ceftriaxone sodium for injection combined with Shuang Huang Lian injection was 0.375-0.625,showing synergistic and additive effects, which could be used in clinical treatment. Then 10 dogs with respiratory tract bacterial infection were treated in vivo. The results showed that the combination of Shuang Huang Lianinjection and Ceftriaxone Sodium for injection could effectively improve the cure rate of the disease. Conclusion: In this area, the multi-drug resistance of pathogens was obvious during the investigation of respiratory infections in dogs.Combining the results of the combined drug susceptibility test to guide the clinical use of drugs, ceftriaxone sodium for injection combined with Shuang Huang Lian Injection was used for the treatment of confirmed cases, and good results were achieved. The test results provide a basis for clinical treatment of canine respiratory bacterial infections in Shihezi City.
