Study On The Effect Of Perilla Seed Extract On Lipid Metabolism And Egg Quality Of Laying Hens

With the continuous improvement of people's living standards,the demand for animal product quality is also higher and higher.Eggs are an essential food for common people in daily life.therefore.The purpose of this study was to study effect of feeding Hyline brown hens using Perilla seed extract.and the effect of Perilla seed extract on lipid metabolism,laying performance,immunocompetence and egg quality of Hyline hens,then researched its regularity and regulation mechanism,providing a theoretical basis for the further development of perilla seed extract as a highly efficient,non-toxic and non-residue safe feed additive.Our study selected 576 chickens of 300 days Hyline brown hens.These chickens were randomly divided into two groups,namely control group and experimental group respectively,with 3 replicates in each group and 96 chickens in each replicate.Control group were fed basal diet.The experimental group were fed with basal diet containing 200 g/t perilla seed extract.Our experiment period was 60 d.ELISA was used to detect the IgA and IgG content in layer hens to study the effect of Perilla Seed Extract on Immune Function of laying hens.Kit was used to detect cholesterol,triglycerides,low density lipoprotein cholesterol(LDL-C)and high density lipoprotein cholesterol(HDL-C)in blood to study the effect of perilla seed extract on lipid metabolism in layer hens.Egg production datas of each group were collected during the experiment to calculate its laying performance.Egg quality was evaluated by measuring nutrient contents such as egg yolk color,eggshell thickness,egg amino acids,cholesterol,triglycerides,low-density lipoprotein cholesterol,and high-density lipoprotein cholesterol.Experimental results:(1)Effect of perilla seed extract on blood: The content of IgG was significantly reduced(P<0.01),It shows that adding Perilla seed extract to the diet can increase the immunocompetence of laying hens and reduce the incidence.In addition,it significantly reduced cholesterol,triglyceride,LDL-C content on blood(P<0.01),howener,it increased blood HDL-C.These show that adding perilla seed extract to the diets can remove blood lipids.(2)The effects of perilla seed extract on egg quality: egg laying rate,average egg weight,and daily egg production all were increased,but the difference was not significant(P>0.05).It can reduced feed-egg ratio,however the difference was also not significant(P>0.05).These show that the addition of diet has a certain effect on laying performance of laying hens.Albumen height,yolk color,Haugh unit,yolk coefficient,and egg shape index allwere increased,but the difference was not significant(P>0.01).The HDL-C content in yolk was increased,with the very significant difference(P<0.01).It illustrated that adding perilla seed extract to the diets can reduce egg fat and increase egg nutrition.Threonine content in eggs was significantly increased,with the significant differences(P<0.05).It shows that adding perilla seed extract to diet can improve nutrition of eggs.In summary,addition of Perilla seed extract to the diets can not only improve the immunocompetence of Hyline brown hens and the performance of laying hens and the nutritional value of eggs,but also reduce lipid levels in blood and eggs.
