Glycyrrhiza uralensis Fisch is one of the important plant resources of grassland.The whole plant of Glycyrrhiza uralensis Fisch has high value,and the branches and leaves can be used as excellent forage for livestock,and the root can be used as a traditional Chinese medicine.Glycyrrhiza uralensis Fisch is widely used in medicinal,animal husbandry,and food industries.Glycyrrhiza uralensis Fisch are mainly distributed in the northwest,north and northeast of China,especially in the northwest.However,for a long time,due to natural causes and some unreasonable human activities,the Glycyrrhiza uralensis Fisch in China have degraded and the ecological environment has continued to deteriorate.The sustainable development of grassland animal husbandry is facing severe challenges,which seriously affects the living standards of grassland farmers and herdsmen.Therefore,the influencing factors of Glycyrrhiza uralensis Fisch degradation are analyzed,the potential geographical distribution of Glycyrrhiza uralensis Fisch under different climatic conditions is predicted,and reasonable protection measures are proposed,which is of great significance for the scientific protection of Glycyrrhiza uralensis Fisch and the restoration and protection of grassland ecological environment.This paper investigates the relevant data of Glycyrrhiza uralensis Fisch in China,and then the degradation and causes of degradation were analyzed in the study.We used the MaxEnt model to analyze the total 22 selected environmental data.The results showed the potential geographical distribution of Glycyrrhiza uralensis Fisch in China.The model also predicted the suitable area of Glycyrrhiza uralensis Fisch.Finally,corresponding suggestions had been put forward.The results show that in the process of degeneration of Glycyrrhiza uralensis Fisch,temperature,precipitation and population growth are the main factors leading to the degradation of Glycyrrhiza uralensis Fisch.There are 8 main factors affecting the distribution of Glycyrrhiza uralensis Fisch: seasonal temperature variation coefficient(Bio 4),annual average temperature(Bio 1),altitude(Bio),precipitated monthly precipitation(Bio 14),the most dry quarterly average Temperature(Bio 9),the coldest quarterly average temperature(Bio 11),the wettest quarterly precipitation(Bio 17),and the annual temperature is poor(Bio 7).Under RCP 2.6,RCP 4.5,RCP 6.0 and RCP 8.5,respectively,the suitable habitat area of Glycyrrhiza uralensis Fisch accounted for 6.41%,7.01%,6.04% and 5.33% of the total area of China in the 2050 s.By the 2070 s,it became 8.11%,6.26%,5.37%,and 2.73%.In the 2050 s,low suitable habitats accounted for 12.01%,11.62%,11.15%,and 10.44% of China's total area,compared with 12.47%,11.22%,10.86%,and 8.47% in the 2070 s.As the population of the northwest region continues to grow,the basic needs of farmers and herdsmen need to be satisified,unreasonable mining of herbal resources(such as firewood and Glycyrrhiza uralensis Fisch)will gradually reduce the Glycyrrhiza uralensis Fisch,destroy the soil structure,and weaken the ability of grassland regeneration.Over-loading and pasture are still the main cause of grassland degradation.In recent decades,the number of small livestock has increased significantly,especially for the damage of grassland vegetation.For example,goats directly feed on the roots of vegetation,which causes huge damage for the growth of vegetation.This paper proposes the suggestions of reasonable grazing and reasonable mining wild Glycyrrhiza uralensis Fisch and strengthen the artificial and efficient planting of Glycyrrhiza uralensis Fisch and improve the quality and economic benefits of Glycyrrhiza uralensis Fisch.Conclusion: Only population growth,economic development,and social coordination,the rational use of Glycyrrhiza uralensis Fisch can bring greater economic benefits to Glycyrrhiza uralensis Fisch and achieve sustainable development of grassland resources.
