In recent years,with the rapid development of politics,economy,science and technology,China has sped up its closer intercultural exchanges with the outside world,resulting in great need of more and more translation talents in all walks of life.In addition,as China is an agricultural country,the development of agriculture is of great significance to promote our country's economy and social progress.Thus,in order to make our country's agricultural development adapt to the global trend,the agricultural English teaching calls for a teaching reform or innovation.As we all know,higher vocational colleges are committed to the cultivation of application-oriented talents,and its English teaching should be focused on the promotion of students' practical abilities,so as to make preparations for their later social work.Needless to say,the new situation of increasingly frequent international cooperation and exchanges in the field of agriculture has new requirements for English translation teaching in higher vocational colleges.So it is urgent to reform English translation teaching of agriculture in higher vocational colleges.Core literacy is becoming the soul of teaching reform in the new era.The core literacy is based on the cultivation of "well-rounded people",which defines the necessary characters and key abilities that students should meet the needs of lifelong and social development.The core literacy of English subject includes four dimensions: language ability,cultural character,thinking quality and learning ability.It is to develop students' English language abilities through specific practical activities to make students acquire necessary characters and key abilities.The reform and innovation of English translation teaching should be guided by the core literacy of English subject,that is,around the four dimensions of the core literacy of English subject,it will form the quality of English language application with the core of practical ability.In terms of research status both at home and abroad,It has much research on core literacy in foreign countries and has been formed a relatively complete curriculum system.Domestic core literacy education started relatively late.Although a large number of researchers and scholars have made a lot of efforts in translation teaching in the past years,there are few researches on the reform of agricultural translation teaching,and the research strategies of agricultural translation teaching innovation under the framework of core literacy have not been mentioned.Therefore,based on students' core literacy development,the author studied the English translation teaching innovation in agricultural vocational colleges starting from the analysis of present situation of agricultural English class translation teaching,and put forward the strategies to make the innovation come true.This study mainly discusses the following issues:1.What is the current status of agricultural English translation teaching in higher vocational colleges ?2.What are the challenges of vocational college agricultural English translation teaching under the core literacy?3.What are the implementation strategies of agricultural English translation teaching innovation in higher vocational colleges under the core quality?During the research,the author mainly uses the questionnaire survey method,the literature research method,the observation research method and the interview method.After research,the author found that the source of Higher vocational colleges students are complex,there are general high school students,secondary vocational students,some five-year students of exemption from examinees.They have quite a few English vocabularies,and take no interest in English,but their career driving force is strong.The teaching mode of agricultural English translation in vocational colleges is simple,and the traditional teacher-led teaching mode is unsatisfactory in agricultural English translation class of higher vocational colleges.Combined with the findings of the study,the author put forward the implementation of the innovation strategy of agricultural translation teaching in higher vocational colleges: Improve English language ability by enhancing translation teaching practice;Develop self-learning ability by developing online learning platform;Enhance students' cultural character by strengthening the cultural penetration in class;Improve the students' thinking quality through creating the thinking situation.Therefore,based on the practical and vocational characteristics of higher vocational education,and combined with the framework of students' core qualities,the author puts forward some proposals on the innovation of agricultural English translation teaching in higher vocational colleges,which can provide guidance and reference for translation teaching in higher vocational colleges.
