Objective:By analyzing the clinical features of patients with colorectal polyps, the risk factors associated with the incidence of colorectal polyps can be clarified, and targetedearly colonoscopy screening of high-risk groups of colorectal polyps to help to find and remove adenomas polyps, preventcarcinogenesis of colorectal adenoma, provide the basis for early clinical diagnosis and treatment. Methods:We retrospectively analyzed the clinical characteristics of 356 cases of patients with colorectal polyps(polyp group)from October 2016 to September 2017 at the First Hospital of Jilin University and those of 319 patients with normal colonoscopy performance or chronic non-specific enteritis during the same period(control group). The effects of gender, age, smoking history, drinking history, glucose levels, serum lipid levels, and serum uric acid levels on the incidence of colorectal polyps were compared in the polyp and control group. The relationship between colorectal polyps of different pathological types, different sites, different diameter sizes, single or multiple and gender, age, glucose levels, blood lipid levels, and serum uric acid levels was compared.Result:1.The proportion of male patients in the polyp group was significantly higher than that in the control group(P=0.010),and thedifference was statistically significant. The age distribution of all the subjects was 57(49-65)years,and the two groups were divided into two with the median as the boundary. There was no statistically significantdifference in age distribution between the two groups(P=0.252).2.The proportion of smoking and drinking in the polyp group was significantly higher than that in the control group(P<0.001;P<0.001),and the difference was statistically significant.3.The proportion of patients with hyperglycemia, elevated low-density lipoprotein cholesterol levels, elevated triglyceride levels, elevated total cholesterol levels, and elevated serum uric acid levels in colon polyps was significantly higher than that in controls(P<0.001;P<0.001;P<0.001;P=0.003;P<0.001),the difference was statistically significant. There was no significant difference in high-density lipoprotein cholesterol levels between the two groups(P=0.836).Multivariate logistic regression model analysis showed that: male, increased glucose, elevated low-density lipoprotein cholesterol levels, elevated triglyceride levels, elevated serum uric acid levels, and smoking, drinking are risk factors in the incidence of colorectal polyps;male(P = 0.042),subjects with glucose ?7.1mmol/L(P=0.013),low-density lipoprotein cholesterol ?3.10 mmol/L(P<0.001),triglyceride ?1.80mmol/L(P<0.001),uric acid ?428?mol/L(P<0.001),smoking(P<0.001)and drinking(P=0.005)were more susceptible to develop colorectal polyps, and the difference was statistically significant.4.Patients with adenomatous colorectal polyps were older thanthose with non-adenomatous colorectal polyps(P=0.042).The difference was statistically significant. But compared of gender, glucose levels,high-density lipoprotein cholesterol levels,low-density lipoprotein cholesterol levels, triglyceride levels, total cholesterol levels, and serum uric acid levels in two groups, the difference was statistically significant(P>0.05).5.Compared gender, age, glucose levels, blood lipid levels, and serum uric acid levels in different sites of,different diameters of,single or multiple colorectal polyps, the difference was statistically significant(P>0.05).Conclusion:1.Male,increased glucose, increased levels of low-density lipoprotein cholesterol, increased triglyceride levels, increased uric acid levels, smoking and alcohol consumption are risk factors that affect the incidence of colorectal polyps.2.The incidence of adenomatous polyps was positively correlated with the increase of age.3.The location of colorectal polyps, polyp diameter, single or multiple colorectalpolyps were not correlated with sex, age, glucose, blood lipid and serum uric acid level.
