Objectives:To observe the influence of acupoint catgut embedding on the mental state of gastroesophageal reflux disease(GERD),and analyze the possible mechanism of regulating mental and psychological factors. Methods:According to the random number table,60 patients with GERD were randomly di,vided into group of acupoint catgut embedding and western medicine group with 30 cases in each.Acupoint catgut embedding was accepted by the treatment group, while western medicine group daily oral lansoprazole tablets 1-2 tablets,15-30mg,?when needed. The acupoints in group of acupoint catgut embedding:Tender reaction point of Du-meridian(T1-L1),Dazhui and Baihui point.Treatment was given once every 2 weeks, and a total of 3 treatments were received.Western medicine group take oral omeprazole enteric tablets every day.The entire treatment lasts for six weeks.Observing the scores of GerdQ,SAS,SDS and HRQL before and after treatment, and analyzing the differences in symptom scores and mental state between the two groups.Result:1.Compared with treatment before, the scores of GerdQ and HRQL scales of the two groups were significantly decreased after treatment, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).It is suggested that the two groups of treatments are effective for the improvement of symptoms and quality of life in patients with GERD;2.The SAS and SDS scores of both the embedding group and the western medicine group decreased. But the former is significantly lower than the latter(P<0.05),which suggested that the symptoms of anxiety and depression in the embedding group are lower than those in the western medicine group.3.The effectiveness of acupoint embedding group was 90.00%,while western medicine group was 53.33%after treatment. The difference between the two groups is obvious,P<0.05.4.The correlation coefficient r between the GERDQ score and the SAS and SDS scores was 0.563 and 0.322,respectively.The correlation coefficient r between the GERD-HRQL score and the SAS and SDS scores was 0.506 and 0.435,respectively.It is suggested that the clinical symptoms and quality of life of patients with GERD are positively correlated with their SAS and SDS scores.Conclusion:1.Acupoint catgut embedding can effectively alleviate the main symptoms of acid reflux and heartburn in patients with GERD,which is better than western medicine alone.2.The two types of treatments have a certain intervention effect on improving the mental state and quality of life of patients with GERD,but the intervention effect of group of acupoint catgut embedding is better than that of the western medicine group.3.The clinical symptoms and Quality of life score of patients with GERD are positively correlated with the degree of anxiety and depression.4.Acupoint embedding can effectively regulate the anxiety and depressive symptoms of patients, make up for the deficiency of the western medicine, and increase the therapeutic effect to cover the population.
