Objective To evaluate the value of improved localization method assisted by color Doppler twinkling artifact in extracorporeal shock wave lithotripsy.Methods 166 patients with unilateral middle ureteral calculi diagnosed in the First Hospital of Jiaxing City from January 2018 to December 2018 were selected.all patients were scheduled to undergo ultrasound-localized extracorporeal shock wave lithotripsy(ESWL).The localization method of common B-ultrasound(defined as A localization method),color Doppler ultrasound localization method assisted by the color Doppler scintillation artifact(defined as B localization method)and the combination of color Doppler twinkling artifact and full filling of bladder localization method(defined as C localization method)were used respectively.The localization rates of patients with A,B and C localization methods were recorded respectively.The difference of positioning success rate of the three positioning methods was compared.The patients who could be located by both of B and C localization methods were randomly divided into two groups.The bladder was fully filled during extracorporeal shock wave lithotripsy in the observation group and not filled during extracorporeal shock wave lithotripsy in the control group.The therapeutic effect and the incidence of complications were compared between the two groups 2 weeks later after ESWL.Results The success rate of A localization method was 45.8%(76/166),B localization method was 65.7%(109/166),and C localization method was 89.8%(149/166).104 patients who were located by both of B and C localization methods were randomly divided into two groups:control group(n=52)and observation group(n=52).The total effective rate was 71.2%(37/52)in the control group.The total effective rate was 92.3%(48/52)in the observation group.There was significant difference between the two groups(P<0.05).The total incidence of complications in the control group and the observation group were 69.2%(36/52)and 63.5%(33/52)respectively.There was no significant difference between the two groups(P>0.05).Conclusion In the treatment of middle ureteral calculi with ultrasonic localization extracorporeal shock wave lithotripsy,the improved localization method assisted by color Doppler flash artifact can not only improve the localization rate of stones,but also improve the curative effect of ES WL.It does not increase the incidence of complications,so it is worth popularizing and applying in clinical work by doctors engaging in extracorporeal shock wave lithotripsy.
