Clinical Study Of Spleen-strengthening And Phlegm-resolving Prescription Combined With Metformin In The Treatment Of Spleen Deficiency And Phlegm Dampness Polycystic Ovary Syndrome With Insulin Resistance

Objective: To observe the clinical effectiveness of Spleen-strengthening and phlegm-resolving prescription combined with metformin in the treatment of spleen deficiency and phlegm dampened polycystic ovary syndrome with insulin resistance.Methods: 80 patients with Spleen deficiency and phlegm dampness polycystic ovary syndrome with insulin resistance were randomly divided into two groups by random envelope method.In the treatment group,40 patients were treated with oral therapy of self-designed spleen-strengthening and phlegm-removing prescription combined with metformin.In the metformin group,40 patients took metformin orally for 500 mg,500mg/ time,1 time/day.Patients in both groups were treated for 3 menstrual cycles and followed up for 3 months after treatment.The effects of treatment were evaluated by comparing the changes of homa-ir,gonadal,body mass index(BMI),waist-to-hip ratio(WHR),TCM syndrome score and efficacy of TCM syndrome in the homeostasis model before and after treatment between the two groups.Results: 1.TCM syndrome integral analysis after treatment of two groups: The treatment regimens of the two groups were compared within each group.Paired t-test showed that the TCM syndrome scores of the two groups decreased significantly after treatment,with statistically significant differences(p<0.05).After treatment,the independent sample t-test showed that the TCM syndrome score of the treatment group decreased significantly compared with the metformin group,and the difference was statistically significant(p< 0.05).2.After treatment,the efficacy of the two groups was compared:According to the evaluation standard of TCM syndrome efficacy,the effective rate of the treatment group was 92.5%,and that of the control group was 82.5%.According to the chi-square test,the treatment group was superior to the control group in improving the efficacy of TCM syndromes,and the difference was statistically significant(p<0.05).3.Comparison of glucose metabolism indexes between the two groups after treatment: The two groups were compared within the treatment groups respectively.After paired t-test,FBG,FINS and HOMA-IR values were reduced in the two groups after treatment,with statistically significant differences(p<0.05).After independent test,the comparison between the two groups after treatment showed that the treatment group was more significant than the control group in reducing patients' FPG,FINS,HOMA-IR,and the difference was statistically significant(p<0.05).4.Comparison of serum hormone levels between the two groups after treatment: The treatment regimens of the two groups were compared within each group.Paired t-test showed that the two treatment regimentation could improve the values of LH,E2 and LH/FSH in the two groups,and the difference was statistically significant(p<0.05).The treatment regimentation in the two groups was not significant in the improvement of serum FSH and T,and the difference was not statistically significant(p>0.05).After treatment,the independent t-test showed that the improvement of LH and E2 in the treatment group was more significant than that in the control group(p<0.05),while the improvement of FSH,LH/FSH and T in the treatment group was not significant(p>0.05).5.Comparison of body mass index(BMI)and waist-to-hip ratio(WHR)between the two groups after treatment: Comparison between the two groups,paired t-test showed that both treatment regimentation could reduce patients' BMI and WHR after treatment,the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).After treatment,the two groups were compared.By independent t-test,compared with the control group,the treatment group had a more significant decrease in BMI and WHR value(p<0.05).6.Comparison of pregnancy rate between the two groups after treatment: There were 20 patients in the control group and 26 patients in the treatment group.During the observation and follow-up period,the pregnancy rate of the control group was 5.0% and that of the treatment group 19.23%.The chi-square test showed that the treatment group was superior the control group in terms of improving the pregnancy rate of patients,with statistically significant differences(p<0.05).Conclusion: Compared with metformin alone,Spleen-strengthening and phlegm-resolving prescription combined with metformin in the treatment of Spleen deficiency and phlegm dampness polycystic ovary syndrome with insulin resistance can effectively reduce the IR,BMI,WHR,adjust the sex hormone levels,but also can improve the patients' clinical symptoms,increase the rate of patients with pregnancy,according to the patients with liver and kidney functionbefore and after the treatment results showed that the treatment non-toxic side effects,has wide prospect of clinical application.
