| With the deepening of economic globalization,international communications in economy and culture are increasing rapidly.China has participated in the world's economic and cultural exchanges with a more open attitude.However,all of these are inseparable from the spread of information.“CCTV News”,as the national TV news programme,is extensive and authoritative in contents,making it the most influential among the press and the public.Since 24th July in 2014,it has launched a series of reports“Highlights in China's Economy”for us to learn about the positive energy in China's economy.This paper is based on the interpreting of this series of reports.This paper consists of four chapters.The first chapter introduces the preparations that the author has made for this task,including getting familiar with materials,glossary preparations and interpreting skills.The second chapter talks about the problems that the author encountered during interpreting and the solutions to these problems.The third chapter summarizes some skills in news interpreting.For example,how to interpret news titles and how to apply“simplicity strategy”.The author also analyzes the mistakes during interpreting because of nervous feelings and a lack of excellent note-taking skills.The last chapter sums up some experience and reflections gained from this interpreting.In this chapter,the author emphasizes the importance of full preparations and excellent note-taking skills.Preparation is a major factor that affects the quality of interpreting.And note-taking,serving as an assistant tool,decides whether the interpreter can smoothly complete an interpreting task or not. |
