Nowadays, we have already stepped into the 21 st century, characterized with information internationalization and globalization. Therefore, news, as a major tool to spread culture and information, is of great importance with each passing day. It seems that news and interpreting have nothing to do with each other, but news interpreting bridges the communications among cultures. It enables people to hear the voices from different countries and different kinds of people.With the further development of reform and opening to the outside world, news translation turns out to be an intimate bond between people and foreign customs and politics. Interpreting differs from translation, which highlights promptness, accuracy and smoothness. The translation of these two programs are dealt with in the form of interpreting practice, whose results can be made into Chinese subtitles to offer more convenience for a lot of audience.This thesis is a report on interpreting practice. The interpreting texts studied here are Rethinking U.S. Security Strategy & 2014 Tianjin Summer Davos. It is known to us that the process of translation is of great complexity. As for interpreting, it is a kind of impromptu work. Therefore, preparations for interpreting are of great importance.This thesis is composed of five parts. The first part introduces the background information of the two programs. The second part is a specific description of the interpreting process. The third part, as the main part of this thesis, analyzes some interpreting cases. The forth part sums up the interpreting practice to draw inspiration from the case analysis. The fifth part is conclusion.
