This translation report is under the guidance of Eugene A Nida's Dynamic Equivalence Theory and Christiane Nord's function plus loyalty theory to translate the Chapter 6 in the book The Power of Self-Confidence of Brian Tracy.The translation practice report is divided into three chapters which includes task description,the description of translation process,analysis of the translation text.The first part is task description,includes background,introduction of the author and about his books,and the text selection by the translator.The second part is the the description of translation process includes project purpose,text analysis and features of sentence.The third part is case analysis,include Eugene A Nida's Dynamic Equivalence and Reader's Response Theory and Christiane Nord's function plus loyalty theory and some translation skills such as:"metaphrase" and "paraphrase","amplification" and"omission",repetition,negation.And also solve some difficulties in translation process such as how to parsing long sentence,word selection,and culture difference in the translation process.The conclusion is a summary and the translation experiences.This translation report is base on the text of the The Power of Self-Confidence chapter 6,under the guidance of the Eugene A Nida's Dynamic Equivalence and Reader' s Response Theory and Christiane Nord's function plus loyalty theory and use some translation skills in the translation process.The translator hopes to use these theories and the translation skills to solve the difficulties in the translation process and improve the translation abilities.
