The Jianghu Rules In Romance Of The Three Kingdoms

The romance of the Three Kingdoms begins with sworn brothers.In the end of the Eastern Han Dynasty,Feudal lords were vying for the throne.At the top of the social system,the rules of society has been unable to adjust the contradictions between the various classes of society,and the knight in Jianghu began to form a coalition of interests.They gradually become a the feudal despotic from a small Jianghu which is set up by sworn brothers.During this process,the “loyalty” played a important role.At present,Chinese scholars have done some research on the literary works of the Three Kingdoms and the Jianghu,the basic concepts and theoretical issues have been defined clearly.However,there have been no deep and systematic study on the rules of Jianghu in literary works.In which kind of circumstances does the rule of Jianghu origin? What are the differences between the Jianghu Rules and the traditional social rules or laws? What are the characteristics of the Jianghu Rules? How do the rules maintain? What is the innovation and development of the Jianghu Rules in the Three Kingdoms? How do the Jianghu Rules get fading?In order to discuss the above problems,this paper is divided into 6 chapters.Except the introduction of the first chapter,the other five chapters focus on the Jianghu Rules of the Three Kingdoms.In the second chapter,the concept of Jianghu Rules and origin of it have been discussed,using the tools of Hermeneutic,Sociology and Jurisprudence.Jianghu Rules exist as a kind of "non-government rules",and consist of three point of Jianghu Rules: loyalty rules(worship),Tolerance rules,doubt the rules.The third chapter begins with Taoyuan’s connection(worship),and gradually analyzes the jianghu rules using "loyalty" as the core.Loyalty rules starts in Liu Bei,Guan Yu,and Zhang Fei’s sworn.The development of the Three Kingdoms situation marks the "loyalty" as the symbol of the Jianghu system formation.The author also analyzes the connotation and extension of loyalty rules through the two dimensions of "loyalty" and "repayment",which are different from other family partnership rules in ancient China.It embodies the spirit of contract,team spirit,reward and punishment,and gives reference for management and development of modern organizations.The fourth chapter focuses on the maintenance and protection of Jianghu Rules.From internal and external perspective,the author analyzes the origin and connotation of the "patience rule",which is similar to the contractual obligation in contract law;"Endure setbacks" are interpreted from,that is Worship,Doubt and Tolerance.Rules help to maintain and safeguard the loyalty as the core of Jianghu Rules.Chapter five focuses on the development and innovation of Jianghu Rules."Doubt of Rules" is a kind of means for the identity(group identity)and the military game of the questioning and judging.It promotes the development of Jianghu Rules.The author discuss the "Doubt of Rules" in the way it works and results: "trickery".Chapter six introduces the inevitability,reasons,process and influence,failure of Jianghu Rules.
