Young music teachers working in higher vocational schools who are the core force engages in music teaching.The most basic requirements of the teaching for young music teachers should have a perfect mastery of professional teaching skills,having a high level of teaching skills is also a fundamental guarantee of improving the quality of teaching in higher vocational colleges in the meanwhile.Research for young music teachers’ teaching ability have been conducted in higher vocational schools,the results may help provide a good understanding of present situation of young music teachers in music teaching and various problems existing in the teaching.And through investigation and analysis of many factors affecting the teaching ability of young music teachers in higher vocational colleges,we explore and develop targeted and constructive suggestions and measures.This thesis adopted the way of interview and questionnaire for empirical research.An investigation is carried on present situation of young music teachers’ teaching abilities among 5 higher vocational schools in Gansu Province,main problems have been found as follow: the lack of comprehensive knowledge and skills for young music teachers,the lack of teaching reflection and innovation ability,the lack of research ability in teaching,and so on.This article has carried on further discussion to the above question,and has searched the related reason.The main problems affected teaching ability from the aspects of young music teachers have been put forward in the thesis are: young music teachers’ knowledge system is not comprehensive,passive attitude towards students,the bottleneck period for development.In terms of higher vocational schools,the reasons are: internal training have been ignored in higher vocational schools,evaluation mechanism is not perfect,no means to protecting promotion of their teaching ability.From the national point of view,the reasons are: teachers are lack of cultivation of teaching quality,the reform of educational system still faced great pressure for young teachers,less income of the teachers,social professional prestige is not high,and so on.This thesis focused on the above problems and reasons,put forward the way for developing teaching ability of music teachers in higher vocational schools.First of all,learning advanced foreign education system and reform experience,and getting effective enlightenment that realize the legalization of education system,promoting the integration of pre-service teaching ability,and diversifying education training channels and so on.Secondly,higher vocational schools should set up comprehensive protection system to promote music teachers’ teaching ability.Lastly,young music teachers should take self improvement as the priority to promote the development of teaching ability.The writer hopes that this thesis can be of great benefit to develop young music teachers’ teaching ability,so as to promote the development of music teaching in higher vocational schools.
