Secondary vocational education is a key component of vocational education systems in China,and English curriculum is an indispensable part of secondary vocational schools.Therefore,it is extremely important to establish an excellent team of English teachers,to deepen the reform of English curriculum,and improve the quality of English teaching for the development of comprehensive literacy.However,influenced by various subjective and objective factors,English teachers in secondary vocational schools,especially the young teachers who are relatively short of teaching experience,have different degrees of burnout.Therefore,an in-depth investigation on the teaching burnout of young English teachers in secondary vocational schools,analysis of relevant influencing factors,and the adoption of targeted responses to the psychological health and professional growth of young teachers,the improvement of English teaching quality and the overall work of schools,are all of great important theoretical significance and practical value.In view of this,this research aims to understand the basic situation of teaching burnout of young English teachers in secondary vocational schools,analyze the relevant factors leading to teaching burnout,and on such bases put forward the corresponding countermeasures.With 114 young English teachers from all secondary vocational schools of Yunfu City,Guangdong as the research objects to be tested by related inventories,the result reveals that the teaching burnout level of the young English teachers of the secondary vocational school is relatively high,with the average score of 3.93 as displayed in the variable table.Furthermore,the teaching burnout of young English teachers in the secondary vocational school is significantly different in such demographic variables as gender,marital status,seniority,region and title.Teaching work,interpersonal environment and school management are closely related to the teaching burnout of young English teachers,and 92.7% of them can be explained by the independent variables,and in which the foundation of students,professional skills of teachers,teacher-student relationship,school remuneration,and so on exercise a more significant impact.Basing on this,the study,from the adjustment of mentality,lifelong learning,emphasis on professional development,and establishment of a people-oriented school management system to provide more professional growth,create a better working environment and atmosphere,improve teachers' treatment and strengthen the construction of teachers of the secondary vocational school,and put forward measures to alleviate the teaching burnout.Incorporating the actual situation of English teaching in secondary vocational schools,this thesis presents the general features of English teaching burnout,and illustrates its specific solutions.Thus,the thesis is helpful to put forward the pertinent educational countermeasures,promote the alleviation and elimination of teaching burnout of young English teachers in secondary vocational schools,and improves teachers' mental health and the development of their comprehensive quality.
