The elementary–level spoken C hinese occupies a very important position in the whole system of learning C hinese as a foreign language.First of all,it is a basic course and secondly,it is the bridge that connects the knowledge that the student obtains from the textbook and the practical application of that specific knowledge.The elementary–level spoken Chinese is a very important part in the learning process for the foreign students learning C hinese,the process of teaching the spoken language is mainly conducted through class interaction.So the methods of teaching spoken C hinese is a very important part in learning C hinese,a subject that definitely can't be easily ignored.In this paper,the elementary class of Northwest Normal University is taken as a model for this study,to further study the teaching of oral language in Chinese classes for beginners.Methods such as literature research,interviews,data analysis and so on are applied on this paper.The main factors and the existing problems of oral language teaching for beginners are taken to analysis through certain angles which include learners,teachers curriculum and so on.The paper also gets theoretical guidance and inspiration to make targeted suggestions for teaching in order to develop the teaching of oral Chinese language for elementary class and enhance learners speaking skills.The introduction summarizes the theory of teaching C hinese as a foreign language and teaching spoken language,it also analyzes the achievements and shortcomings of the relevant theoretical content,and points out the necessity and innovation of the thesis.The second chapter is a study on classroom teaching of Chinese spoken language for beginners.This paper describes the internal and external environment of primary language teaching in the International Cultural Exchange Institute of Northwest Normal University,researching the students' situation,the situation of teachers and the curriculum.The methods used include recording,interview and questionnaire to analyze the spoken language of C hinese classroom learning environment.The third chapter is a study from the perspective of learning motivation,Robert Gardner's AMTB scale was used to study the learners of the primary speaking class.In the fourth chapter,conducting a final analysis via analyzing the classroom material and test the speaking material,from the errors and content analysis,and finally concluded that the primary class students speaking ability has not fully achieved the goal of teaching,the situation of the students is the most important stage of impact on teaching and also the most important factor.The fifth chapter proposed the theory of teaching giving guidance and inspiration to enhance students' speaking ability.It also gives suggestions for the elementary-level spoken Chinese class through the content of the teaching principles and teaching methods proposed.The final part is a brief summary of the content of this paper.
