In recent years,the chunk theory has become a hot research topic in the study of second language acquisition.The chunk can be stored and extracted as a whole,and its expression function is specific.The advantage of chunk theory is to integrate the semantics,grammar,context and discourse of vocabulary,and make a whole cognition.In the second language acquisition,a large number of chunk input and practice can improve the learning efficiency of learners,so that learners use the language comprehensively.In language communication,learners can effectively grasp the fluency of learners to improve the authenticity of speech and speech output.The application of chunk theory to the teaching of Chinese as a foreign language can enrich the discipline theory of second language teaching.This paper is divided into six chapters.In the first chapter,the author introduces the reason and significance of the topic selection and combs the research and development of the theory of chunk at home and abroad.The first chapter also introduces the research ideas,heavy difficulties,innovation,research methods and corpus sources.In the second chapter,according to the research status of Chinese language teaching,and draws lessons from previous research results,the definition and classification of "Chinese chunk".That is,"the chunk is composed of words,more than words,semantics and form of fixed,often appear in the context of the whole,after the division or change the meaning or do not meet the language habits of the sentence unit".Chinese chunk can be divided into :word level chunks,word level empty chunks,sentence level fixed chunks,sentence level empty chunks.The third chapter examines the chunks of Advanced Comprehensive Course of Developing Chinese(?,?).In the third chapter,we extract,analyze the chunks in Advanced Comprehensive Course of Developing Chinese(?,?).Our final analysis found that there were 2125 chunks in the development of Advanced Comprehensive Course of Developing Chinese(?,?),of which there are 1633 word level chunks,175 word level empty chunks,53 sentence level fixed chunks,264 sentence level empty chunks.The fourth chapter mainly analyzes the Chinese chunk in 33 essays of senior students.In addition,the fourth chapter also conducted a questionnaire survey of 23 students on the Northwestern Normal University International Cultural Exchange College senior class,for a preliminary understanding of their usual Chinese language learning methods and the mastery of the Chinese chunk.The fifth chapter first discusses the role of the chunk theory in the advanced comprehensive course of Chinese as aforeign language.It is helpful to enhance the learners 'sense of Chinese language and enhance the tunneling of learners' language in the advanced comprehensive course of Chinese as a foreign language;it is also conducive to reducing the difficulty of language acquisition,more fluent in Chinese to express their own ideas,to avoid the "foreign language" phenomenon;it also helps to improve learners' pragmatic competence,so that learners use more appropriate Chinese in communication;it also allows learners to grasp the discourse from the whole,to improve the learners 'understanding of the discourse,and to enhance the fluency of learners' writing discourse.The fifth chapter puts forward some suggestions on the application of chunk theory in the advanced comprehensive course of Chinese as a foreign language from three aspects: teaching material,teacher and learner respectively.At the end of the fifth chapter,we have made a teaching design for Advanced Comprehensive Course of Developing Chinese(?)Lesson 7-Peking People and Shanghai People,hoping to apply the theory of chunks to the advanced comprehensive course of Chinese as a foreign language in practice.We believe that the application of the chunk theory to the advanced comprehensive course of Chinese as a foreign language will certainly bring positive effect to teaching Chinese as a foreign language.We hope that in the future study of the advanced stage of the commonly used and important Chinese chunk to extract and classify to facilitate students to "language" in the form of learning Chinese,"holistic",faster and better to enhance the students Mandarin levels.
