The Research Of The Blue And White Porcelain Of Jianshui Kiln And Yuxi Kiln In Yunnan Province

Blue and white porcelain is an important under-glazed colored decoration porcelain.A large amount of blue and white porcelains were produced in Yuan and Ming Dynasty in Yunnan Province.So far,more than 10 ancient kin sites and more than 30 dragon kilns have been found in ancient kiln sites of Yunnan province for firing blue and white porcelains.Due to stratigraphic disorganization,destruction of kiln sites,and other reasons,only Yuxi Kiln in these two kiln sites was unearthed scientifically.But Jianshui Kiln and Yuxi Kiln are leading representatives among all blue and white porcelain kilns in the degree of delicacy of vessel shape,production scale of kiln site and porcelain making technology.Currently,researches on Yunnan blue and white porcelain are very few.This research has summarized,organized and researched the representatives of Yunnan blue and white porcelain—Jianshui Kiln and Yuxi Kiln based on excavation reports,relevant research literature and material data.This article is divided into four parts to carry out studies on blue and white porcelains unearthed in Jianshui Kiln and Yuxi Kiln respectively.The first part has summarized and organized major vessel shapes in both two kilns based on relevant literature reports such as bowl,plate,jar,bottle,and pot.Different emblazonries on different vessels have also been listed.Finally,it has made comparison and summary on the vessel shapes and emblazonries of blue and white porcelains in two kilns;the second part has made chronical stage division on blue and white porcelains burned in two kilns on the basis of researching their vessel shape and emblazonries,and discussed and analyzed the reasorns for the rise and fall of the blue and white porcelain in two kilns;the third part has mainly described some common-seen emblazonries.One emblazonry is not completely similarly manifested in different vessels and different periods.Then it has specifically made in-depth discussion on the painting art and cultural connotation.In addition,the fourth part has specially started from the local national culture elements to endow new meaning for fish image through the investigation on fish image in blue and white porcelains in Jianshui Kiln and Yuxi Kiln.This article has better manifested the historical value,scientific value and art value of blue and white porcelain through comprehensively researching characteristics of blue and white porcelains in Jianshui Kiln and Yuxi Kiln.
