Homework is the last and important part of the primary school English teaching and learning.However,the traditional English homework in primary school mostly appears in the forms of copying words,reading and reciting the sentences and so on.Many students don't have interests in doing homework and usually deal with it;Primary school English teachers have to teach many students.The homework can't be corrected on time.So that primary school English homework becomes a mere formality.It doesn't have the strong effectiveness for teaching and learning.With the development of the national informatization in China,the new online homework platform has come into the sight of educators.Many schools start to use it.The educators want to improve the teaching and learning effect by using the platform.But many scholars are concerned about how to use the platform,how to design and construct it.Their studies are mostly aimed at college students or adults.The effect of online homework on specific subjects in primary schools has not been studied yet.So this study will focus on the real effect of using online homework on primary school English teaching and learning.In order that,in the future,more schools will be able to use the platform better and get the better grades.In this study,the author first did the literature research about "online homework platform" and "teaching and learning effect".Selected "www.17zuoye.com" as the online homework platform in this study.The main dimensions of assessing the effectiveness of English teaching and learning in primary school are teaching and learning achievement,workload,working time,interest and attitude,etc.Then,the data of the experimental group and the control group were analyzed by the methods of experimental research,questionnaire and interview,The results showed that after the use of the online homework platform,the students in the experimental group had no significant improvement in English scores compared with the control group,but the listening,speaking and reading parts improved significantly and the writing performance was poor.The students' learning interest and attitude in the experimental group were improved obviously,and the comprehensive language ability was still to be improved.The working style,time and attitude of the teachers in the experimental group were changed obviously.At the end of the paper,although using the online homework platform did not play a significant role on the performance of the students in primary school English teaching and learning effect,but it has been quietly changing the status of China dumb English,students speaking ability improved significantly,English learning interest and attitude changed,English teachers' work enthusiasm improved.We can believe that English teachers and students comprehensive quality will get very good promotion,the positive effect will slowly unfold,but online homework also need to gradually improve,especially the part of English writing.
