As an extension and supplement to class teaching,homework plays a significant role in teaching activity.With the development of new curriculum reform,a satisfying result has been achieved in primary English teaching,however,there are still much space for current situation of English homework to improve.The way that giving every students the same school assignment neglects the students' differences and could not meet their respective needs.Moreover,too much repetitive tasks increase students' burden,but the effect is very tiny,In that case,personalized homework advocates respecting students' distinction and the fully promoting their advancement.Although the development of information technology is rapid,the research about how to design and conduct personalized homework with the support of modern education technology is limited.Based on the support of the online homework platform,this thesis conducts the design and application study of personalized assignment designated to primary English.This thesis mainly adopts literature research method,investigation research method and design-based research method to do the study on the level of theory and practice.And the literature research method is used firstly to summarize the individualized learning,the personalized homework and some research based on the online homework platform.Then through investigation research method,some major problems about the actual situation of primary school's English homework are found,such as students are tired of doing homework,students' differences are neglected easily on the aspect of assignment content,students can't get targeted feedback about assignments,and students spend a long time but acquire very limited improvement on English assignments.To deal with these problems,combining the advantages of the online homework platform,under the instruction and inspiration of Multiple-intelligence Theory,Individualized Learning Theory,Constructivism Theory,this thesis designs an implementation plan for individualized homework of primary school English based on the online homework platform,whose purpose is to promote students' progress and develop their individuality with the principles of designing goal-oriented,content-interesting,suitable and various homework.After three rounds practice and continued improvement,with the investigationresearch method,combining with the data of students' homework recorded on the platform to test the implementation effect of the personalized assignment based on the online homework platform,this thesis acquires four conclusions,first,the personalized assignment based on the online homework platform in primary school English is conducive to improving the students' doing-homework mood,second,the implementation of the personalized homework based on the online platform can improve students' initiative of doing homework,third,the design and implementation contributes to reducing students' homework-burden and receiving a good effect,which truly achieved “less assignment,more learning”,fourth,the implementation has a positive effect on stimulating students' interest in English learning.Through the research,we hope this thesis can provide the teachers with reference and inspiration for designing and implementing English assignment.
