The Chinese education in Laos has a long history,but its system has not yet been perfected.The problem of Chinese teaching materials has become one of the most prominent problems in Chinese education in Laos.Lao Chinese textbooks are very scarce,and most do not apply to Laos students.In order to examine the use of Chinese textbooks in Laos,the author studies the Chinese textbooks of Luang Prabang Xinhua School.I hope the newcomers will be able to see the useof Chinese textbooks in the whole of Laos through The useof the Chinese textbooks of the Xinhua School and make more constructive comments and suggestions.During my tenure at the Xinhua School in Luang Prabang Laos,the author made an in-depth study of two sets of Chinese textbooks,"Chinese Course" and "Chinese Language",which are being used in Xinhua School.Through the systematic investigation of the two sets of textbooks,the teacher-student questionnaire was designed to get the feedback of the teachers and students.Finally,the results of the analysis and discussion,summed up the gains and losses of the two sets of teaching materials.It is hoped that this conclusion can provide reference for newcomers.The "Chinese Course" for the adult class in Xinhua School is practical for Lao students,because the content of the text is taken from the reality of life and the students find it useful.However,since the textbook is intended for foreigners who are learning Chinese,it is not a national textbook.So the targete of Lao students is not strong.Through the investigation we learned that the interesting of the textbook is not strong,most of the content is boring boring,students do not have a strong interest in learning.The scientific of the textbooks also need to be improved.In the text part there are typos.There are some phonetic errors or commentary errors,or comments are not comprehensive,inaccurate phenomenon.There is a lack of explanations in some parts of the comments and grammar sections.Practice part of the sentence also appears.The Chinese textbook for elementary school is written for overseas Chinese students studying Chinese.But the content of the difficulty is too large,but in addition to part of the phonetic alphabet part of the other parts are not phonetic annotation,the text is relatively boring,it is difficult to concentrate on primary school students to learn.In addition the difficulty of supporting the workbook also greatly beyond the ability of students,in general,"Chinese" This set of materials is very scientific,it is no knowledge of the error.Defect is too difficult for the Xinhua school students,whether interesting,targeted or practical are not strong.Therefore,I hope that through this research,I can make a contribution to the compilation of Lao Chinese textbooks in the future.I hope that more experts can write Chinese textbooks suitable for Lao students in the future,in order to promote Chinese education in Lao.
