E-C Translation Of Chapter 8 And Chapter 11 Of The Remarkable Chester Ronning:Proud Son Of China And A Critical Commentary

The project consists of two parts.The first part is the Chinese translation of the selected source text,totally two chapters,which is taken from the book The Remarkable Chester Ronning:Proud Son of China by Brian Evans.The second part is a critical commentary.The critical commentary is an analytical report on the translation strategies and methods applied in the selected source text from English to Chinese,and it contains four sections:introduction to the project,significance of the project,strategies and approaches employed in the translation,and conclusion drawn from the analysis of the translation strategies and methods applied.This translation project has been carried out under the guidance of the Skopos Theory.According to the mentioned aims,the translation would stay objective and be faithful as much as possible.The project aims at introducing Chester Ronning,who has made a great contribution to making Canada recognizing China.This project can also serve as a reference of history at that time,thus students and anyone who are interested in the history of the relationship between Canada and China can take a look.
