With the development of global economic integration,Chinese companies have gone global.From the perspective of business,the large differences between Chinese and foreign laws have greatly increased the communication cost and risks of mergers and acquisitions for Chinese companies to invest overseas.Knowing and studying foreign Companies Laws is beneficial to strengthen economic,trade and legal exchanges between the Chinese and foreign countries.At the same time,it is good for Chinese and foreign countries to find favorable solutions to legal conflicts arising from companies and conductive to providing legal reference for improving China's laws and regulations.At present,most of the domestic researches on foreign company laws are concentrated in the laws of European countries,the United States and Japan,with less study on the Statutes of the Republic of Singapore Companies Act(CHAPTER 50).As an important developed country in Asia,Singapore's strict legal system has played an irreplaceable role in keeping national stability and prosperity.As a public legal document,the Statutes of the Republic of Singapore Companies Act(CHAPTER 50)is complete and detailed,however,there is no Chinese version of this Act in China.In view of the increasingly frequent trade between China and Singapore,the author believes that the study of this Act is of great significance.This is a translation report for the section 76 of the Statutes of the Republic of Singapore Companies Act(CHAPTER 50).Based on the brief introduction of the translation project and background of the source text,this report conducts a further exploration on difficulties and methods in the process of translation.In the last part,this report concludes the experience and lessons gained by the translator.This translation practice not only has provided the Chinese version of this Act for the first time,but also has positive effects on the author in terms of accumulating some professional knowledge and improving the ability of translation.
