Translation Report On Immigration Act 2016(Selected)

This translation report is based on Part I&II of Immigration Act 2016,which mainly deals with the illegal employment,including new charges of illegal work.Affected by the economy,environment and culture,more and more foreigners began to emigrate to China.However,the relevantlegislation is not mature enough in China while The United Kingdom,a traditional immigration country,has a relatively perfect system on immigration law.Besides,the original text is new and hasn't been translated into Chinese until now,which is worth researching for the legislation of Chinese immigration.Firstly,this paper gives a brief introduction to the translation project,and makes a brief analysis of the original text,and then discusses the key points and difficulties of the translation from the aspects of word,sentence and culture.In addition,this paper expounds the specific translation skills by citing some examples,including syntactic linearity,amplification,division and conversion.Finally,this report makes a conclusion of the translation.The author takes full consideration of the context of the sources,endeavoring to enable the target texts to be faithful,fluent and natural,and also comes up with some views so as to improve the quality of the translation.
