Objective:This study aims to investigate the status quo of family care degree,self-esteem,and aggressive behavior among school-age children in P city of Henan province,discuss the effect of different demographic characteristics and family care degree on self-esteem and aggressive behavior,analyze the correlation among family care degree,self-esteem,and aggressive behavior.It provides a reference for community medical staff to assess the family function timely,provide preventive health knowledge and conduct effective interventions to promote physical and mental health and form positive personality among school-age children.Methods:Selected 910 school-age children from 6 schools in P city of Henan Province as object by convenient sampling method,general demographic data questionnaire,family care index questionnaire,Rosenberg self-esteem scale,and Buss and Perry attack Chinese questionnaire revised questionnaire(AQ-CV)were used.Data were recorded in double entry with Epidata3.1statistics software,SPSS17.0 software was used for statistical analysis.Data were analyzed by statistical method such as descriptive analysis,t test,one-way ANOVA analysis,multiple stepwise regression analysis,c~2 test,Spearman correlation analysis,Logistic regression analysis.Results:1.The median score of family care degree among school-age children in P city of Henan province was 7.00,P25,P75were 5.00,9.00 respectively.There were 481 children(58.66%)with good family function,245 children(29.88%)with moderate dysfunction of family function,94children(11.46%)with severe dysfunction of family function.2.The score of self-esteem among school-age children in P city of Henan province was28.49±4.48 point,2 children(0.24%)with lower level of self-esteem,25 children(3.05%)with l ow,520 chi l d ren(6 3.41%)wi t h no rm al,219 chi l d ren(26.7 1%)wi t h good,54children(6.59%)with high.Univariate analysis showed that school address,grade,gender,residence,father's education level,mother's education level,father's occupation,mother's occupation,father's education method,mother's education method,father's expectation,mother's expectation,father's understanding degree,mother's understanding degree,family harmony,learning achievement,relationship with teachers,relationship with classmates,favorite movies or videos,favorite online games,number of good friends,whether parents(both or one)go out for work long-time,and family care degree affect self-esteem,difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Multiple stepwise regression analysis showed that residence,relationship with classmates,mother's education method,relationship with teacher,learning achievement,family care degree,gender,father's occupation,father's education level,and mother's expectation were into the regression equation.3.There was a significant positive correlation between self-esteem and family care degree among school-age children in P city of Henan province(r=-0.313).4.The median scores of aggressive behavior among school-age children in P city of Henan province were 24.58.Univariate analysis revealed that school address,grade,gender,residence,father's education level,father's occupation,father's education method,mother's education method,father's expectation,mother's expectation,mother's understanding degree,family harmony,learning achievement,relationship with teachers,relationship with classmates,favorite movies or videos,favorite online games,the number of good friends,parents(both or one)go out for work long-time,and family care degree affect aggressive behavior,the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Logistics regression analysis showed that gender,father's education method,relationship with teacher,favorite movies or videos,favorite online games,and family care degree were into the regression equation.5.There was a significant negative correlation between family care degree and aggressive behavior among school-age children in P city of Henan province(r=-0.279).Conclusions:1.Family care degree score among school-age children in P city of Henan province were low,there is a high proportion of family dysfunction.2.Self-esteem among school-age children in P city of Henan province normal levels were acceptable,school address,grade,gender,residence,father's educational level,mother's educational level,family care degree,and other items were the influencing factor of self-esteem.Residence,relationship with classmates,mother's education method,relationship with teachers,learning achievement,family care degree,gender,father's occupation,father's education level,and mother's expectation are the main influencing factors of self-esteem.3.School address,grade,gender,residence,father's education level,father's occupation,father's education method,mother's education method,family care degree and other items were the influencing factor of aggressive behavior among school-age children in P city of Henan province.Gender,father's education method,relationship with teachers,favorite movies or videos,favorite online games,and family care degree were the main influencing factors of aggressive behavior.4.There was a significant positive correlation between family care degree and self-seem,and there was a significant negative correlation between family care degree and aggressive behavior among school-age children in P city of Henan province.
