This thesis is a report of my interpretation at the "2017 Seminar on Climate Change and Agricultural Sustainable Development for Developing Countries".The seminar is sponsored by the Ministry of Commerce of the People's Republic of China and organized by Foreign Economic Cooperation Center of the Ministry of Agriculture. The author mainly analyzes the consecutive interpreting for the first lecture "China's National Climate Change Strategy Targets,Policies and Actions".This report consists of five chapters. The first chapter is the description of the interpreting task. The author mainly describes the background and purpose of the interpreting task, the feature and content of the task, and the task requirements. The second chapter is the description of the interpreting activity, including the preparation, the performance and the evaluation. The preparation includes assigning work to interpreters, making glossaries, forming interpretation plans, developing quality control solutions, and working out emergency response plans. The performance includes the execution of interpretation plans and the handling of emergencies. The evaluation includes the audience's evaluation and the author's own evaluation. The third chapter is the introduction of the interpretive theory. The author talks about the development of the interpretive theory and makes a brief introduction on the interpretive theory, which is used to analyze the interpreting performance. The fourth chapter is the main part of this thesis. In this chapter, the interpreting performance is studied using the interpretive theory.Combining the interpretive theory, the author classifies my problems into four categories:problems with understanding, problems with de-verbalization,problems with re-expression,and miscellaneous problems. The problems with understanding refer to the failure on the delivery because the author cannot understand the speaker correctly. The problems with de-verbalization refer to the problem that arises when the author understands the speaker but sticks to word-for-word translation. The problems with re-expression refer to the problem that arises when the author understands the speaker but fails to deliver the message correctly and accurately.Miscellaneous problems refer to issues that cannot be reflected through the recording, but the author regards those problems as important. The fifth chapter is a conclusion. In this chapter, the author shares some reflections on interpreting, and proposes expectations for future career.Based on this interpreting performance, the author focuses on analyzing the problems on re-expression.In daily consecutive interpreting practices, the author focuses on the understanding of professional vocabulary, professional knowledge, and the overall construction of the sentence, while ignores the grammar. In this interpreting practice, the author found that the author doesn't have a good master of the basic English. Many mistakes have been made in English vocabulary and grammar. The author believes this is a problem that has been ignored by the author in previous exercises and special emphasis should be placed on the basics of English. The significance of this paper lies in analyzing my own performance in the first interpreting task, discovering my strengths and weaknesses, and working out corresponding exercise plans to improve my interpreting capability. At the same time, the author also hopes to bring some inspiration to others.
