Books are the carrier of information and enable cultural and cross-border exchanges.They feature prominently in disseminating new notions and summarizing experience.As the development of Internet economy continues unabated,a batch of upstarts in the sharing economy industry have stood out,changing people's lives and rewriting the rules of their industry.The reporter participated in a translation project of an Internet startup in which he was assigned to translate the epilogue.This paper,in the form of practice report,elaborates on the translation mission.This paper briefly introduces the background information of this translation mission and then expounds preparation for it.This paper sorts out translation problems,provides two versions in case analysis,explores the method to put Chinese sentences in the right sequence and handle some words with cultural meanings during the translation process,comprehensively use functional equivalence theory and Skopos theory to guide translation practice,and provides solutions to these problems.In the end,this paper summarizes revisers' feedbacks and the reporter's own experience.Hopefully,it can provide translators with some ideas in translating technology books and biographies. |
