Nowadays,cross-border business activities have had a huge impact on global economic development.The smooth development of transnational business activities is of great significance not only to the two countries in business transactions,but also to the development of the global economy.However,at the same time,transnational business activities will also have a negative impact on both parties of the trade and the global economic environment.Therefore,in this "Global Village" era,acquiring business knowledge and understanding the global business environment and business operations become the key to the success for countries in the economic field.The book Business is an MBA selection English textbook and it adopts a large number of examples and pictures in its writing process.Consequently,it becomes the first choice for those who are willing to understand contemporary business management.Translating this book into Chinese will enable more Chinese business people to understand the relevant knowledge of business.Business belongs to the information text,so its translation focuses on the accuracy of the content.In the translation process of Chapter 2 of Business,the translator found a large number of addition and omission phenomena.These two translation phenomena,addition and omission,are diverse and complicated and play an important role in the quality of translation in this chapter.Therefore,it is worth studying.This report takes the "Skopos Theory" as the theoretical foundation and summarizes the two translation skills:addition and omission.On this basis,it makes a detailed study of addition and omission of nouns,verbs,etc.,in English texts to provide some suggestions for the translation in the field of business studies.
