Nowadays,with the advance of information technology revolution,the development of e-commerce has become an international trend.While e-commerce brings profits to enterprises,there are also many security risks.The translation material for this report is selected from the preface,the first and second chapter of the book Security Fundamentals for E-Commerce by Vesna Hassler.The material elaborates on the security risks and the countermeasures in the application of e-commerce,contributing to mitigating risks and achieving healthy development in the operation of e-commerce.The report is composed of four parts: The first part describes the translation task,including the introduction of the source of the material,the author and the work as well as the significance of the topic.The second part describes the translation process,including pre-translation preparation,difficulties and the solutions in translation as well as post-translation review.The third part is the case analysis from the four levels of vocabulary,syntax,discourse,and style.The difficulties mainly lie in the translation of terms and long sentences.For different types of terms,a variety of translation methods such as “zero translation” are adopted.Moreover,parallel texts are used to determine their general translation.At the syntactic level,a variety of translation techniques,such as the conversion of voice and sentence pattern,are used.The fourth part is a summary of the translation practice,summing up experience and defect.
