A Practice Report On The English Translation Of "A Review Of Parallel Kinematic Mechanism Technology For Aircraft Assembly"

Scientific and technological translation plays an important role in the manifestation of a nation's scientific and technological strength,the exchange of scientific and technological achievements at home and abroad,and the promotion of the nation's scientific and technological status in the world.This translation practice was carried out under the guidance of the national standard Target Text Quality Requirements for Translation Services(GB/T 19682-2005).By the national standard,how to achieve semantic faithfulness,authentic writing and clear expression was analyzed.Thus,the corresponding translation effects were achieved by adopting the three major translation methods of amplification,substitution and adaptation.Moreover,terms were extracted and proofread in the preparation stage before translation,and the characteristics and style of the source language were analyzed.Finally,the experience that is conducive to improving scientific and technological translation,the problems encountered in this translation practice,and suggestions for the improvement were summarized.In short,this translation practice aims to explore possible translation methods that are extensively effective in scientific and technological translation based on the Target Text Quality Requirements for Translation Services and provide useful reference for the improvement of scientific and technological translation.
