Metacognition,as a measure of mental standards,is cognition applied to cognition.It is the ability or process of understanding oneself or others' mental state,and then regulating their own emotions and behaviors.The group of high school students in the psychological sensitive period may experience different emotional problems,and they will automatically use metacognition for emotional regulation.However,due to the different level of their metacognitive development,the coping to the problem and the solution to the problem can be difference.As a kind of parenting style,parental psychological control can have an effect on the anxiety level of children.Therefore,in different family environment,how parental Psychological control was perceived by high school students and how the perceived level of control affect trait anxiety level is the aim of this study.The research analyzed the status and characteristics of high school students' metacognition.A total of 600 high school students were surveyed by PCI,MCQ-30 and STAI-T to examined the relationship among parental psychological control,high school students' trait anxiety and metacognition.The data analysis suggest that:First,high school students do not have high anxiety and worry metacognitive beliefs.Second,there were significant differences in metacognitive scores in gender;there was a significant difference in need to control thoughts in grades;there was a significant difference in cognitive self-consciousness in whether or not The one-child;there was a significant difference in need to control thoughts in different majors;there was no significant difference in the total score of metacognition in village or town.Thirdly,parental Psychological control was significantly and positively correlated with high school student trait anxiety and;parental Psychological control was significantly and positively correlated with metacognition and;metacognition was significantly and positively correlated with high school student trait anxiety.Fourth,This finding suggests that there was an indirect relationship between parental psychological control and high school student trait anxiety via metacognition.Metacognition plays a partical mediation in the relationship between parental psychological control and high school student trait anxiety;Negative beliefs about uncontrollability and danger of worry plays a complete mediation in the relationship between parental psychological control and high school student trait anxiety;Need to control thoughts plays a partial mediation in the relationship between parental psychological control and high school student trait anxiety.Cognitive confidence plays a partial mediation in the relationship between parental psychological control and high school student trait anxiety.
