With increasing heat of learning Chinese,China's international status has been enhanced significantly.Based on the needs of Chinese language development,the Hanban send volunteer Chinese language teachers to many countries and set up Chinese courses and Confucius Institutes to promote the development of Chinese language.From 2017 to 2018,the author taught at Chungcheongnam-do Girls' High School in South Korea for one year while learning about the cooperative teaching mode with native Korean teachers and the students' learning situation.In order to study the Chinese vocabulary teaching in current cooperation mode in South Korea,the author conducted questionnaire survey and interview with 69 volunteer Chinese language teachers working at high schools in Korea,and also collected real problems arising from the Chinese classes in the school the author taught.The author then analyzed the Chinese vocabulary teaching in the cooperation mode in South Korea,found out the causes of problems arising in Chinese and Korean teachers' teaching process,and did exploration.The main contents of this article are as follows:First of all,this article conducts a questionnaire survey on the status of vocabulary teaching in the cooperative teaching mode in Korea.From questionnaires design to implementation,it mainly introduces the survey objective,subjects and items.The statistical analysis of the questionnaire results is conducted from three aspects: the basic situation of Chinese language class students,the basic information about cooperation mode between Chinese and Korean teachers and the mastery of vocabulary knowledge in the cooperation mode.By analyzing and summarizing the results of the questionnaire and the author's actual teaching experience,this article outlines the problems existing in the vocabulary teaching in current cooperative teaching mode in Korean high school from two aspects: students' individual factors and cooperative teaching between Chinese and South Korean teachers.Then the author makes teaching suggestions on the problems existing in the Chinese vocabulary teaching under current cooperative teaching mode in South Korean high school.Focusing on students' individual factors and the problems arising in cooperative teaching between Chinese and South Korean teachers,the author puts forward some suggestions including emphasizing the use of semantic fields and morphemes for vocabulary teaching,rationalizing cooperation mode,teaching contents,and teaching methods according to students' characteristics and learning conditions,and strengthening pre-class after-class communication between Chinese and Korean teachers as well as the cooperation awareness.Finally,the article summarizes the main research results,deficiencies and expectations on the Chinese vocabulary teaching under the cooperation mode.The author hopes that the research results will provide teaching references for teachers who will be sent to South Korea and provide research basis for exploring the better development of Chinese vocabulary teaching in the cooperation mode.Since the author worked as a volunteer Chinese lauguage teacher in Korea for only one year,the follow-up work for this study cannot be further conducted.However,in the future,the author will continue to pay attention to the remaining volunteer Chinese language teachers to prepare for future in-depth study.
